Katy Perry publicly appeared at a concert in Bologna, Italy, on Sunday, after her former DJ, Diplo, revealed he had previously dated both her and her current boyfriend, Justin Trudeau.
The 41-year-old singer, who publicly confirmed her relationship with the 53-year-old former Canadian Prime Minister during a concert in Prague last week after months of speculation, wowed fans with a series of glamorous outfits on her current tour.
Katy wore stunning, form-fitting outfits with high boots, showing off her incredible physique to the large crowd at Unipol Arena.
One outfit resembled animal scales and was decorated with rhinestones, while the other had a very modern, metallic look.
Despite her ex’s strange comments, Katy seemed relaxed and confident as she performed her most popular songs.
DJ Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, surprisingly revealed on the Smart Girl Dumb Questions podcast that he had previously dated both members of the couple.
‘And now Katy Perry is dating Justin,’ Diplo said. ‘Pretty fire,’ he continued.
‘I know so many people who like kind of,’ host Nayeema Raza began before Diplo interjected.
Diplo claimed he once dated Katy Perry, responding to a question about whether he had. He later clarified, through the podcast, that he was joking.
Raza clarified, ‘I was talking about Trudeau.’ He admitted he’d also dated him, adding, ‘It was a strange experience, though, because I’m generally not attracted to people in politics.’
Raza said she found Justin Trudeau attractive, and Diplo playfully agreed. They later explained that Diplo’s comment about dating Trudeau was just a joke.
‘He dated Trudeau????’ one fan commented on the podcast’s YouTube video.
‘Lol he’s making a joke,’ the podcast responded.
The Daily Mail has contacted both Perry’s representatives and Trudeau via Instagram for comment.
While the Justin romance was all a joke, Diplo was indeed linked to Katy back in 2014.
The pair was seen together in New York City, but sources at E! News disagreed about whether they were still dating.
One person insisted they were just friends, while another hinted at a closer relationship.
According to a source, the two have a great connection. He’s known for being fun and brings joy to her life. They initially connected while discussing a potential musical collaboration, but it quickly became clear they had a strong attraction.

In a video posted to TikTok, she shared that a man was attempting to propose to her, and he was already holding a ring.

The performer, who celebrated her 41st birthday on October 25th, shared a video clip of herself blowing out candles on a cake with frosting.
As she made her wish and blew out the candles, Justin could be seen in the distance, smiling and cheering her on.
