Katy Perry hinted that things are getting more serious with Justin Trudeau after reacting to a funny article suggesting they’re dating.

On Monday, the 40-year-old singer reacted to a funny post from The Onion that jokingly referenced rumors about her dating Justin Trudeau, who is 53.

Katy publicly liked the post shortly after seemingly addressing the relationship for the first time at a concert in London.

A fabricated news story claimed Katy Perry had released a new song, supposedly about the quality of Canadian-made products. The story detailed a track ‘produced’ by hitmaker Max Martin, but was entirely fictional.

Perry jokingly shared that she’s currently enjoying being single, having fun, and focused on her work. She also playfully described British Columbia’s hydrogen fuel cell industry as a particularly good vibe.

The funny article didn’t mention Trudeau directly, but it was obvious it was hinting at Perry’s new relationship with him. The article joked that Perry had suddenly become very interested in Canada, which was clearly connected to the romance.

‘I actually want to hear this song,’ one commenter wrote.

During the concert, a fan unexpectedly proposed marriage to the singer, but they were unable to accept.
