As a woman who has followed Katy Perry’s music career closely over the years, I am deeply disappointed by her recent comeback single, “Woman’s World.” Having grown up listening to her empowering anthems like “Roar” and “Firework,” I was excitedly anticipating a powerful feminist message in this new track. However, what we got was a repetitive and unoriginal tune that seemed more focused on commercial success than authenticity.

I found myself blushing embarrassingly during my live interview on Capital Breakfast radio on Monday morning, having unintentionally made a rather inappropriate joke.

The singer, aged 39, graced the show to publicize her new song “Woman’s World” but inadvertently committed a humorous blunder during her appearance.

During an interview conducted by Kemi Rodgers and Jordan North, she discussed her connection to Britain through her English fiancé, Orlando Bloom.

After that, Kemi inquired from her: “Has your spouse Orlando passed on any British customs to you throughout the years that you now practice?”

Katy, without thinking, quickly replied: ‘He won’t let me leave the bag in!’

“Jordan reacted with surprise, stammering, “Excuse me!?” as Katy explained, red-faced, “Tea bag! I meant tea!””

I quickly regained my composure after her hilarious response and shifted the conversation forward by inquiring, “Could you please assure me that you don’t prepare tea in the microwave, as is common practice for many Americans?”

She retorted: “Absolutely not, not a chance! Get that removed. He’s quite fond of PG Tips, you know. His passion for tea is evident in our home. He even taught me how to brew the perfect cup.” (Instead of “A builders?” it could be clarified as “He’s quite the builder of a good cup of tea.”)

‘Yeah a builders!’, Jordan responded.

As an obsessed fan, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I ran into Capital presenter Chris Stark’s idol at my favorite local pub! It was a surreal moment for me. And let me tell you, this man is not just a great presenter but also an incredibly talented singer. I had no idea about his hidden musical abilities until that very day.

On St. Patrick’s Day, I happened to be at the same pub as him without knowing his presence. Suddenly, he got up and began singing an old Irish folk song.

To which Katy responded: ‘Well…after a couple of pints he is good yeah!

‘I’ve been with him for over 9 years, do you not think he’s got some hidden talents? He is great!’

After DailyMail.com reported that Katy’s finger-pointing towards others followed her return single, Woman’s World, not making a big impact on the charts, Katy made an appearance on the radio.

Insiders claim she is desperately scrambling to devise a new plan to save her musical comeback.

I’ve been a huge fan of this singer for years, eagerly anticipating the release of her seventh studio album, numbered 143. With excitement building up, I waited for the lead single to drop this month. The hype around it was immense; it was touted as an empowering feminist anthem that would resonate deeply with women everywhere.

The artist behind “Teenage Dream” faced backlash for the explicit content in its music video and collaborating with music producer Dr. Luke, who has been publicly embroiled in a legal dispute with Kesha (aged 37), over allegations of inappropriate behavior.

After just a few days on the US iTunes chart, with sales dropping dramatically since its release on July 11, Katy is reportedly worried and insisting that her team reconsider their strategies to prevent her album from experiencing a similar decline in popularity.

An insider revealed to DailyMail.com that Katy is currently anxious due to closely monitoring the responses Woman’s World is receiving.

‘She is pointing the fingers at everyone but herself, but it is her own fault.’

According to the report, the most significant risk Katy faced was reaching out to Dr. Luke once again – the music producer behind her successful hits like “I Kissed a Girl” (2008) and “California Gurls” (2010). However, he later became embroiled in allegations of sexual, physical, and emotional misconduct brought forth by Kesha.

Łukasz Gottwald, famously known as a super producer, refuted all accusations, including Kesha’s assertion that he had sexually assaulted Katy Perry – an allegation Kesha herself had dismissed.

In 2020, a judge based in New York made a ruling against Kesha for making defamatory statements about her previous producer. This decision was affirmed by an appeals court in 2021.

Critics of the hitmaker have strongly expressed their disapproval towards any artist collaborating with him since Kesha made her accusations, even though they settled their dispute in 2023.

A number of Katy’s supporters argue that she was compelled by contractual commitments to collaborate with Dr. Luke. However, it’s been made clear by Katy herself that she holds no professional connections to the producer.

In her 2018 deposition for Kesha’s lawsuit against Dr. Luke, Katy Peron testified that she had entered into an agreement for the publication of three albums with Kemosabe Records owned by Dr. Luke, and that they no longer had a binding contract.

She too considered how the public would react if she worked with Dr. Luke, given his ongoing dispute with Kesha.

I’d share that collaborating with him right now wouldn’t be met with warmth due to the ongoing lawsuit.

The Dark Horse singer stated that there would be opposition and negative campaigns if she were to collaborate with Dr. Luke again on a future project, rather than it possibly contributing to the release’s success.

Previously, DailyMail.com reported that Katy was advised against working with Dr. Luke on her new album. However, a source has now verified that Katy disregarded these requests and went ahead with collaborating with him.

The informant expressed his shock, saying, “It was unwise of her to consider Dr. Luke a viable option. She paid no heed to others’ warnings.” Regarding her recent work, he commented, “Instead of producing something fresh and innovative, she released an output that bore a striking resemblance to her music from a decade ago.”

Katy collaborated with the producer on the track, and most of the songwriting was done with male partners.

As an obsessed fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the amazing team behind the creation of this incredible track! Dr. Luke, Aaron Joseph, Vaughn Oliver, and I, we were all part of the process – co-writing and producing the music together. And to add some feminine touch to the lyrics, Katy and Chloe Angelides graced us with their presence and contributed their unique perspectives as women. What a powerhouse collaboration it was!

Not a single woman produced the album.

‘You don’t make a song about female empowerment with basically all men,’ the source said.

Katy finds it hard to relate to other women as she spends most of her time in her world of fame. Her experience of being a woman is limited to this bubble, and she’s not well-acquainted with the daily realities faced by women in general.

‘She is not using her star power to make change in the world – she is using it to make money.’
