Katy Perry gives daughter Daisy a piggyback ride while departing hotel with fiance Orlando Bloom – following epic MTV VMAs performance
As a die-hard fan of Katy Perry, I can confidently say that witnessing her journey has been nothing short of extraordinary! From her humble beginnings on MySpace to becoming a global superstar, she has consistently broken barriers and inspired countless young artists with her authenticity and resilience.
On Thursday, Katy Perry exuded joy upon leaving with her loved ones after delivering an outstanding showcase at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
The female pop singer, aged 39, appeared both tired and content after a lively night filled with performances, dancing, and receiving the prestigious Video Vanguard Lifetime Achievement Award.
After a whirlwind evening involving numerous style swaps, I chose a relaxed ensemble as I exited the hotel with my partner Orlando Bloom (age 47) and our lovely four-year-old Daisy Dove in tow.
Katy sweetly gave her child a piggyback ride after she checked out of her accommodations.
The singer wore a gray hoodie, pulled it over her head, added big black sunglasses, and slipped on some track pants.
Orlando looked just as chipper as he followed close behind his leading lady.
With a broad smile stretched across his face, the actor donned a dark blue shirt, black pants, and a cap made of denim atop his head.
At the MTV VMAs, Katy captivated audiences by singing a collection of her most popular songs as part of her Video Pioneer presentation.
She sang popular tunes such as Dark Horse, E.T., Teenage Dream, I Kissed a Girl, Firework, and Lifetimes.
Orlando also played a special role last night as Katy was honored at the VMAs.
Prior to accepting the Video Vanguard award and performing, a Star from The Lord of the Rings publicly presented his spouse to the audience members.
Before her performance, he addressed the audience: “You adore her as Katy Perry. I fell for her as Katheryn Hudson. She’s recognized worldwide as a megastar who infuses love, radiance, and humor into each song she composes and music video she produces.
‘She is more than just a mother and partner to me; her boundless love and exuberance permeate our family. In times when we’ve felt most despondent, her music and captivating universe have provided us with an uplifting dose of joy and laughter, touching the hearts of countless people worldwide.’

Following her performance, Katy delivered an acceptance speech.
‘Thank you so much to MTV for believing in my weirdness from day one, and for being such a pivotal teacher to so many generations that an artist’s there are so many things that have to align to have a long and successful career as an artist. There are no decades-long accidents,’ she said.
Katy continued by expressing gratitude towards her entire crew, which encompasses Capitol Records and her management team.
She went on to say: ‘Believe me, it requires a community of sturdy individuals, much open dialogue, and numerous group conversations. My parents and my family, who are an inexhaustible reservoir of support and the strongest foundations I’ve ever known. We don’t always see eye to eye, but isn’t it remarkable that even our disagreements can be imbued with love.’
I’m grateful to MySpace, Warped Tour, and the other places that helped me discover my voice, identity, and friendships so early on. A big thank you also goes out to my friends who stood by me when my car was repossessed, as well as my fellow Katycats, and my LGBTQ community, whose support I deeply appreciate. They’ve shown me that one can be compassionate yet fierce at the same time.
Later, she acknowledged her most recent provocative interview that stirred quite a buzz the previous week, as she expressed gratitude towards her long-term companion.

She concluded the speech with a touching and inspiring message to her fans and viewers as a whole.

Disconnect from social media, prioritize mental wellness, take breaks, feel the earth beneath you. Pursue what you were destined for, just as I am doing mine!
