On stage in Australia, Katy Perry appeared close to tears as she honored her supporters after parting ways with Orlando Bloom.

In the final performance of her tour in Australia, the singer, who is now 40 years old, showed clear signs of emotion when news broke last week about her separation from Orlando, her partner of nine years.

Over the past week, Orlando has been enjoying his newfound single life by attending a series of parties across Europe. This included a lively weekend at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding, as well as a high-profile night out at a glitzy yacht party in Rome.

On Monday, the actor seemed to hint at his separation from Katy through a mysterious message shared on his Instagram Stories.

At the closing of her Australian segment of the Lifetimes world tour, Katy struggled to hold back tears as she concluded her performance on stage.

In a video shared on X, Katy formed a heart gesture with her hands, visibly holding back tears as she addressed the audience at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

‘Thank you Australia for always being there for me,’ she said.

Shortly afterward, Orlando posted a sequence of enigmatic messages on Instagram, quoting Gautama Buddha to his vast audience of seven million users.

The quote Bloom shared said: ‘Every day presents a fresh start. What truly counts is what we accomplish today.’

In addition, he also presented an individual slide that bore another motivational statement attributed to Daisaku Ikema, titled “Inspiration for Daily Living.
