Katy Perry Escapes Explosion Near Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Katy Perry came very close to encountering an accident as a transformer blew up right above her, happening when she was giving autographs outside the El Capitan Entertainment Center in Hollywood on a Wednesday.

The well-known pop singer, aged 40, was moments away from her 13th performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, when she moved towards the fence filled with fans eager for an autograph. There, they passed her objects to sign underneath.

As she gracefully turned away, sparks seemed to dance like fireflies in Katy’s (originally known as Katheryn Hudson) cascading dark tresses.

It appears that a fan from Katy Perry’s fandom, who happens to be a woman, inadvertently touched the transformer with her elbow, causing her coat to ignite for a moment. Fortunately, she suffered no injuries, as reported by TMZ.

Inside the safety of the venue, the thirteen-time Grammy nominee refrained from discussing the explosion with the host during their interview. However, she did share that her 76-date tour, titled The Lifetimes Tour, begins on April 23 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

Katy mentioned on the ABC talk show that her last tour was back in 2017, but now she has a four-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove Bloom, which means this tour will take a slightly new direction.

For the first time, she will embark on a global journey. However, this doesn’t mean she plans to visit every place! As for me, in the past, I’ve kicked off my performances at around 9 or 9:15 PM, sometimes even 9:30 PM, and let me tell you, I was quite strict about it!

I’ll begin the shows at 8:30, as I’ve realized that bedtime requires approximately an hour-and-a-half. I’m taking into account the schedules of all parents worldwide.

This coming Friday, tickets will be available for purchase by the public for Perry’s long-awaited tour, which marks her return after seven years. The tour is in support of her latest seventh studio album, 143, that has received unfavorable reviews, including the controversial feminist anthem titled “Woman’s World.

The musician known for “No More Tears for New Year’s” and boasting 58.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify was said to be contractually bound to collaborate with producer Dr. Luke, who was embroiled in a nine-year court case concerning sexual assault allegations made by Kesha (which he denied).
