Katie Price’s Shocking Car Insurance Secret Exposed!

Katie Price disclosed an unexpectedly small sum she spends on auto insurance, even though she’s faced six driving restrictions.

Previously known for her modeling career, a woman aged 46 was barred from driving for a period of two years following an accident involving her BMW on the B2135 in West Sussex on September 28, 2021. Additionally, she received a suspended jail sentence lasting 16 weeks due to driving under the influence while her license was revoked and she lacked insurance coverage.

During that court appearance, the prosecutor said Price had five previous driving bans.

In addition, she received a penalty of £880 back in March due to operating a Range Rover on the Kettering bypass, Northamptonshire’s A14, without a valid insurance policy or driver’s license.

Her past record of inconsistent driving behavior has caused insurance firms to be hesitant about offering her coverage, resulting in an annual premium quote of £150,000 or £7,000 per month.

In the latest installment of their podcast, The Katie Price Show featuring sister Sophie, Katie revealed that she’s secured an insurance coverage for approximately £800 annually.

Talking about resuming driving, she mentioned: “With a fresh start in the New Year, I’m seeing positive changes happening. I have job opportunities coming my way, yet the crucial aspect is regaining my ability to drive.

After a two-year delay due to my issues with DVLA and endless emails, I finally managed to regain my driver’s license. However, the challenge didn’t end there – I found myself unable to secure insurance for any vehicles. The quotes were astronomical, reaching £150k annually or £7k monthly! Can you imagine? Such exorbitant costs are simply unrealistic, leaving me bewildered and frustrated.

Instead of renting a car, which would have cost me £1,600 per month, I decided to check if I could insure my own vehicle. To my delight, it went through! Now, I have a comprehensive annual insurance policy for just £800. I’m thrilled about this savings!”

In this version, the original text is rephrased with simpler and more conversational language to make it more easily understood.

On average, car insurance in the UK costs approximately £861 annually, which breaks down to roughly £71.75 monthly. However, this figure can fluctuate based on several elements, such as one’s driving record.

After encountering some difficulties, Price promptly hit the road once more following a stop at a car rental agency that supplied her with a high-end Jeep model instead.

She stated: “I visited Enterprise and requested the largest Jeep they had, the best vehicle available to me. They replied, ‘We do have one, it’s a Nissan Jeep.’ I asked if I could have it in black and if it was an automatic model.

‘They went, yeah yeah, we’ll have a look, have you got your driving license?’

Following a hesitant gesture, Price confessed that she too was taken aback when they presented her with the car.

She reminisced, “I asked if I could take the Nissan, and they agreed enthusiastically. It seemed as though they had never witnessed such joy in a person before.

The individual was required to settle a fine of £1,852 within 28 days, which is connected to the infractions that occurred on the A14 at Kettering on August 2nd of the previous year.

In a clear and straightforward manner, Chair of the bench Neil Sheppard declared that based on the presented evidence, Miss Price has been found responsible and fined accordingly. The case against her has been confirmed.

The magistrates learned that Price had multiple past convictions related to traffic violations. Specifically, he was found guilty of operating a vehicle while disqualified in the years 2019 and 2021.

The court was informed that Price has a history of traffic-related crimes. He was convicted for driving while disallowed from doing so in both 2019 and 2021.

For two years starting from September 28, 2021, she was not allowed to operate a vehicle due to the car accident involving her BMW. Additionally, she received a 16-week prison sentence that was postponed on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.

During that court appearance, the prosecutor said Price had five previous driving bans.

After her recent infraction, the court imposed eight penalty points onto her driver’s license, which had essentially expired following the placement of a medical hold on it back in April of the previous year.

As a lifestyle advisor, I find myself in a position to share an interesting piece of information: On the morning of August 2nd, I was detected by CCTV cameras at an M&S petrol station forecourt. Remarkably, law enforcement officers stationed near the entrance observed my vehicle parking at one of the pumps.

In the course of their patrol, officers halted at a gas station, and it was there that prosecutor Cheryl Burridge began presenting her case against Price.

They witnessed a car parking at the gas station next to the fuel dispenser. A woman, later identified as Price, stepped out of the vehicle along with an unidentified man and a youngster.

According to the court, as Price and the man approached the services after exiting the vehicle, the officers suspected that she might not have been allowed to drive due to a previous disqualification.

Even though Price wasn’t under a driving prohibition, the court learned that she didn’t possess a legitimate driver’s license because its renewal had been halted following the withdrawal of an application for renewal.

As an ardent admirer, I must share this intriguing detail: It turned out that Price exited the scene in a Range Rover, with an unidentified man behind the wheel. Remarkably, the authorities didn’t pull them over because they hadn’t observed her driving the vehicle personally.

After Price departed from military service, authorities examined video evidence that appeared to show her exiting the driver’s seat, which led them to initiate a criminal investigation.

In this very moment, I find myself compelled to share my thoughts about someone extraordinarily captivating, none other than the one and only Katie Price.

I stood at the shop’s entrance, conversing with the responding officers. I didn’t catch a glimpse of her (Price) as she was driving by.

‘I recognised her as a media personality.’

The officer mentioned that he examined security camera recordings from the gas station, where he observed an individual who appears to be Price stepping out from the passenger side of the Range Rover.

Subsequently, a marker was affixed to the car as it was found during a computer scan that Price’s license had expired and there was no valid insurance coverage in effect.

In the recent court proceedings, magistrates were informed that a previously suspended sentence against Price did not apply, and instead, she received three penalty points on her driving record for speeding in November of 2023.

The reality TV star has already committed 11 driving offences in the previous fifteen years.
