Lee Andrews, Katie Price’s husband, has confessed to exaggerating his qualifications on his resume while responding to accusations of fraud in his first public interview this week.
Lee, a British citizen, was previously reported to have been jailed in Dubai for three weeks, accused of fraudulently obtaining a £200,000 loan using his former girlfriend’s signature. He was also said to be prevented from leaving the United Arab Emirates. However, he refutes these claims.
On Friday, Lee faced a new allegation that he borrowed $1000 from a woman and hasn’t repaid it. He quickly responded on Instagram, denying the accusation.
Lee claims to be a millionaire and says he both studied at Cambridge University and earned a PhD.
He used to list on LinkedIn that he advised the Labour Party and led fundraising efforts at The King’s Trust, previously known as The Prince’s Trust.
The businessman has now confessed that his resume contained false information, and he says a former assistant was to blame.
He told The Sun that the situation has been exaggerated and needs to be realistically assessed.
‘I can’t take the showmanship of it, but I’ll take the accountability.
‘The PA no longer works for me now anyway, for other reasons — probably because of that.’
He added that he does not manage his own LinkedIn or social media accounts.
He acknowledged his resume needs a significant overhaul, stating plainly that it’s currently not up to par.
A woman contacted The Sun, believing she was investing $1,000 in a company called Aura Worldwide Holdings Ltd.
Company records, filed in the British Virgin Islands, indicate the business was officially closed in 2024.
Despite this the woman claims she has not received her investment money back from Lee.
I read an interview where she talked about how Lee contacted her, claiming he could double her money in just ten days. It sounded too good to be true, and honestly, it was a major part of why she got involved in the first place.
I wired him $1000, which is close to 4000 Dubai Dirham. I transferred the money directly to his personal account and didn’t think much of it at the time.
I lent him $1000, and he promised to repay me. It’s been nearly two months, but I still haven’t received the money.
According to reports, messages between Lee and the woman show he promised to repay the money within 24 hours.
After not receiving the money, she contacted him again on February 17th, asking him to return the $4,000 she’d paid for shares in his company, which had closed in 2024. She requested that he send the money back to her account, stating it was her final request.
On February 23rd, she contacted him again and said she would call the police if he didn’t respond. Lee allegedly replied, promising to send something within 48 hours.
However she claims she is still yet to receive the money.
Even though official records indicated his business closed in 2024, Lee told the publication the company was still operating, stating emphatically, ‘It’s definitely still around.’
Let me tell you, this interview took a turn. Lee actually said he’s going to be Katie’s next child’s father! And then, things got even more interesting – he claimed he has met Kim Kardashian, despite her saying they’ve never crossed paths. It’s definitely a lot to unpack, and honestly, a bit of a shocker!
The Daily Mail reached out to Lee Andrews for a statement. He told The Sun that reports of the company being dissolved were untrue.
Katie responded to statements made by Lee this week by sharing a video on her YouTube channel where she read a statement he previously gave her.
In the video, she initially stated that Lee held a degree from Cambridge University, but then corrected herself, saying he actually earned a PhD from a Spanish university. She explained that the original claims about his qualifications were based on rumors.
Katie shared a statement from Lee, claiming he had earned an associate’s degree in engineering through a distance learning program at Cambridge, and that he had previously mentioned this.
I mistakenly thought her PhD was from Cambridge, but it’s actually from Spain. I did see some work from Cambridge, like a thesis, but that wasn’t her doctorate.
He didn’t actually get his PhD from Cambridge, but he did complete the research for it there. It was some kind of academic project – I’m not entirely sure of the details, but I can look it up if you’d like.
Just to be clear, Lee has an engineering associate’s degree that he earned online through Cambridge. The degree has been officially verified and authenticated.
‘He’s never claimed to have a PHD from Cambridge, this was hearsay from others.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m excited to share that I’ve recently earned an honorary doctorate and completed a published thesis! I’m making it available for everyone to read, and I’m also now legally authorized to use the title ‘Doctor’ on my passport – a truly incredible achievement and something I’m proud to share with you all.
His business is officially registered in the British Virgin Islands. You can verify its registration status online through the BVI’s public company registry. He serves as both the director and owner of the company.
He’s met and introduced himself to several public figures, including me, and has shared these interactions on his social media.
Okay, let me tell you, everyone’s got it all wrong about him! He hasn’t done anything wrong, not a single thing. There’s been no investigation, no arrests, nothing like that. It’s just this one ex, seriously, she’s been spreading lies and trying to ruin his reputation, and she just won’t stop! It’s a total smear campaign, and honestly, it’s so unfair. He’s completely innocent, and I know it.
Everything said is false. Lee is a powerful and resourceful person, achieving things that are beyond the scope of most people’s imaginations. He shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Katie spoke up about her relationship, emphasizing that her connection with Lee is what truly matters. She doesn’t care about his job, wealth, or even his physical condition – only how they connect, how they get along, how she feels when she’s with him, and how he treats her.
‘I’m very happy and I want everyone else to be happy for me.’
