Katie Price’s former partner, JJ Slater, has removed his follow on Instagram, signaling a complete break after Price unexpectedly announced her engagement only weeks following their breakup.
Earlier this month, the Daily Mail reported that 46-year-old Katie Price ended her two-year relationship with 32-year-old MAFS UK star, because she didn’t believe they had a long-term future together.
Sources close to the couple say their relationship had clearly been struggling for months, even though Katie publicly maintained everything was fine.
She recently revealed she’s engaged to businessman Lee Andrews, a surprise to her family who are concerned the relationship is progressing quickly.
JJ has officially unfollowed Katie on Instagram, signaling an end to their connection, though she continues to follow him.
According to reports, JJ was shocked by Katie’s sudden engagement and has since traveled to Miami to recover emotionally.
He posted photos from his room, showing the sunshine and palm trees, and mentioned he was still keeping up with his fitness routine thanks to his trainer, Kieran Kondition.
I’ve seen it happen so many times – you meet someone, things feel amazing, and you start dreaming about a future together. That’s what happened with JJ and Katie when they started dating earlier this year. Katie was even talking about expanding her family, imagining a sixth child, but sadly, it just wasn’t the right fit in the long run. It’s always disappointing when a relationship doesn’t work out, even when there’s so much initial hope.
Someone close to Katie previously shared with Daily Mail that she’d been questioning if JJ was the right person to marry for a while, but she’d been hoping those feelings would pass.
Instead, her worries have increased, and she now realizes she won’t be getting married for the fourth time in this relationship.
‘JJ was left disappointed and has already packed his bags and moved back to his home in Essex.
‘He genuinely saw a future with Katie, but it seems she ultimately had a very different outlook.’
Just weeks after her last announcement, Katie shared on Friday that she’s engaged again – for the ninth time! She offered a sneak peek of her new fiancé and proudly displayed her large diamond ring.
The engagement wasn’t just a surprise to her Instagram followers – her family also reportedly learned about it through social media.
The news was a complete surprise, and family members are concerned that the relationship is progressing quickly, especially since they haven’t had a chance to meet Lee yet.
A source told The Sun: ‘The family found out about the engagement on Instagram – they were stunned.
Katie’s family is very concerned about how quickly things are moving. They were already saddened by her breakup with JJ, and now they haven’t even had a chance to meet her new fiancé before she got engaged.
Daily Mail has contacted Katie’s representatives for comment.
Despite still facing money problems, the reality TV star, who went bankrupt in 2024, traveled to Dubai with her fiancé on Wednesday for a luxurious vacation.
The holiday got off to an exciting start when Katie announced her engagement and showed off her new partner and stunning ring.
I was so excited to see all her Instagram posts today! She shared a bunch of pictures of herself standing in front of the most amazing display – a huge arrangement of red roses that actually spelled out ‘will you marry me?’ It was absolutely beautiful and I’m so happy for her!
She also displayed a new tattoo her partner got of her name. They were celebrating with champagne, strawberries, and chocolate cake.
Katie shared the news of her engagement on the same day her former husband, Peter Andre, launched his new song, ‘Rock You Right’.
Katie has been engaged eight times before and has been married and divorced three times to Peter, Alex Reid, and Kieran Hayler.
She became engaged to Warren Furman in 1996, Scott Sullivan in 2004, Leandro Penna in 2012, Kris Boyson in 2018, and Carl Woods in 2021, but ultimately never went through with any of the weddings.
