Katie Price’s former husband, Alex Reid, has criticized her recent fourth marriage, calling it ‘irresponsible.’ This comes after it was reported she married Lee Andrews only a week after they started dating.
I’ve been following these two for years, and honestly, their relationship has always been a bit of a whirlwind! They met, fell for each other quickly, and were married in Las Vegas after just seven months. It all happened so fast, especially considering she’d only been divorced from her first husband, Peter Andre, for about nine months at the time. It was a really quick turnaround for both of them!
Just eleven months after their wedding, Katie and Alex announced they were separating. Katie later explained that she felt they had married too quickly.
Over the weekend, she surprised her fans by announcing her marriage to entrepreneur Lee in Dubai. This came just days after getting engaged and shortly after ending her relationship with JJ Slater from Married at First Sight.
The mother of five’s family is reportedly devastated by the news of her wedding. They were apparently unaware she was getting married and haven’t spoken to her since the ceremony, according to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail.
Alex has publicly commented on his ex-wife’s surprising wedding, expressing sympathy for her family, children, and a person named JJ.
He told the Mirror he was critical of her decision to marry someone after just one week, saying it was unfair to her family and children to marry a person she barely knew.
Drawing on his own quick relationship with Katie, he acknowledged that seven months isn’t long enough to truly know a person. However, he emphasized that he genuinely meant his wedding vows and had felt deeply in love when he said them.
Now, he describes his marriage as a fake performance and a purely transactional arrangement. He says he understands true love now that he’s with his fiancée, Nikki Manashe, and they have three children together.
More and more people are questioning who Lee really is, and many are skeptical of his boasts about being a successful businessman with companies worth millions.
People are saying he’s a fantasist, like the character Walter Mitty, and that his stories about knowing Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian, having a PhD, and being a successful businessman and philanthropist are untrue. They suspect the photos of him with celebrities are actually created using artificial intelligence.
Alex shared his hope that Lee is genuine and will be able to help Katie get out of debt and manage her finances better.
He stated he sincerely wishes the groom well with the marriage. He hopes it’s a lasting union, and a demonstration of responsibility, unlike the outstanding debts she still has to him and other creditors.

In a continued jab at his former wife, he stated he always doubted their marriage would work. He explained, ‘A strong marriage needs responsibility and trust, and she hasn’t demonstrated those qualities with any of her spouses.’
He also wondered about their living arrangements, since Lee lives in Dubai and Katie is in the UK, and commented that Katie seemed out of touch with reality.

According to a family friend, everyone is shocked by the news. Her mother, Amy, and her five children – Harvey, 23, Junior, 20, Princess, 18, Jett, 12, and Bunny, 10 – were not told about the wedding and found out along with everyone else.
Kate’s family were completely shocked to learn of her engagement. They were especially surprised because it happened so quickly after she arrived in Dubai – almost immediately upon her arrival, they said.
It’s even more surprising that she married him the very next day. Nobody seems to know anything about the groom – no one even knows who Lee is.
Katie returned to the UK on Monday after her quick wedding and let her followers know on Instagram that she has a lot to share.
Lee posted a wedding photo with Katie and added a simple message: ‘We know what really happened, and that’s all that matters.’
He tried to prove his claims about his business success by sharing photos of his passport and business license, hoping to ease doubts people had about them.
Continuing to address criticism, he posted a video specifically responding to people who pointed out the newlyweds had their wedding rings on the wrong fingers.

Following the videos, Lee shared a picture from their proposal with a caption that read: ‘I dare anyone to top my amazing wife, Katie P Andrews!’
He declared his love again, this time with a video saying she’d completely changed how he views relationships – he couldn’t imagine feeling the same way about anyone else. He made it clear she was the one, and that was final.
Fans have also noticed that Lee’s recent proposal to Katie was very similar to how he proposed to his ex-girlfriend, Alana Percival, last year, and they’re wondering why.
He proposed at the luxurious Jumeirah Burj Al Arab spa, creating a romantic scene with rose petals and tea lights that spelled out ‘Will you marry me’. Both women also received a bouquet of roses, all wrapped in simple brown paper.
Alana reportedly invested in a company owned by Lee, but she ended their engagement when she became suspicious of his motives.
A source told The Sun of Katie: ‘Her friends hope she’s smart enough to question his motives.’
Just weeks after ending her two-year relationship with MAFS UK’s JJ – who is now in Miami with his family and recovering from the breakup – Katie has become engaged for the ninth time.
Honestly, from what I’ve heard, he was completely blindsided when she moved on so fast. It really came as a shock to him, apparently.
Katie and JJ, who started dating in February 2024, have reportedly broken up because Katie didn’t believe they had a long-term future together.
