Katie Price Spills Explosive Truth Behind Peter Andre Divorce—Jealousy, Rumors & No Goodbyes

Katie Price recently disclosed the true cause behind her divorce from Peter Andre, a topic she’s kept private following their split several years ago.

For four years, the glamour model, aged 46, and the singer, age 52, remained married following their mutual attraction during a live broadcast on I’m A Celebrity.

Originally a pair, they later welcomed two offspring, Junior (now 19) and Princess (17). However, they disclosed their separation back in the year 2009.

On Paul C Brunson’s podcast “We Need To Talk”, Katie disclosed additional insights into the reasons for their separation.

For a while now, there’s been talk that Katie and Peter parted ways due to her strong bond with equestrian Andrew Gould. Recently, she’s spoken out about these whispers.

She explained to Paul: Our separation stemmed from the belief that I was involved with my equestrian partner romantically, which was untrue. I merely took care of my horse, found joy in doing so, and he was a married man.

However, when my relationship with Pete ended, it was due to his repeated statements like, “That’s it. I’ve had enough.” These words became a recurring theme, and eventually, he said something to the effect of, “I want a divorce.” The day that stood out in my memory was when, following our separation, I traveled to the Maldives with our children.

On that particular day, I found myself at the airport, where the news was dominated by Sky News. The separation wasn’t mutual in any way. Later, I retracted a statement, clarifying that I didn’t wish to part ways with Pete, but instead, it was Pete who decided to leave me. To this day, Pete and I have never had a conversation about the matter.

‘The entire matter has been handled by lawyers. Unfortunately, I’ve never had a direct conversation with him. If we had, I believe we could have resolved the issue, but due circumstances, we remained separated.’

Upon learning that our journey together was coming to an end, I found myself feeling a deep pang of sadness when Katie decided to take the kids to the very same Maldivian villa we’d shared during our honeymoon back in 2005 – a place that held such special memories for us.

He informed The Daily Star, “The time spent away from my children is literally tearing at my heartstrings. It’s devastating – I’m truly heartbroken.

Katie mentioned that they hadn’t had a face-to-face conversation to discuss the ending of their relationship. Instead, they only communicated through lawyers. She added, “Perhaps if we had talked things over directly, we might have found a resolution, but we were unable to do so.

Katie expressed that co-parenting is extremely challenging for her, but she also pointed out that it provides an opportunity to truly understand someone’s character. She has found the process particularly demanding, yet acknowledged that it is unfortunate as well.

On their reality series Katie & Peter, the TV host and her former spouse openly discussed their frequent jealous arguments.

Nevertheless, the news that they were splitting up took their massive fanbase by surprise, along with Katie herself apparently.

She explained that when the separation occurred, it wasn’t a choice she made herself. Here’s what she said: ‘Pete is not just my lover; he’s my life. We have kids together, and I’m heartbroken and disillusioned by his decision to part ways and divorce me, as I pledged to spend my entire life with him when we got married.’

‘I didn’t prefer that outcome, and it seems the decision wasn’t mine to make. I won’t discuss this matter any further nor grant any more interviews about the split, but I’ll always cherish my feelings for Pete.’

In their conversation, Paul proposed that they both talk over some problems with Peter on a particular episode of the podcast. Katie consented, though she noted that it might be difficult to convince Peter to participate in this discussion.

Previously, Katie pondered over the rocky bond she shares with Peter Andre, acknowledging it’s unfortunate that they don’t communicate anymore.

Looking back at our ‘extraordinary adventure’, Katie shared with The Sun: “It was quite an unusual spot to encounter someone and unfold this romantic tale.

Neither Pete nor I have ever come close to being involved with anyone else in that context, regardless of others’ attempts at finding love. There seems to be a unique bond between Pete and me, as there is only one couple consisting of Pete and Kate.

‘What’s unfortunate is that despite our journey starting in the jungle where we fell in love, got married, had children, and lived an extraordinary life, after about 20 years, we no longer communicate – it’s astounding how time can change things.’

In regards to our former relationship, she explained further: ‘Our connection started as a beautiful love story, but unfortunately, as time went on, external factors crept in. To put it simply, that’s the extent of what I feel comfortable sharing.’

Ever since their relationship ended, Katie often asserts that Peter was essentially insignificant or unknown to her prior to their romantic involvement.

On The Louis Theroux podcast in October, the mother of five firmly reiterated her assertions, stating that it was a fortunate day for Peter when they first met each other.

She clarified: ‘Prior to our encounter, I was well-established. It just so happened that he crossed paths with a fortunate individual like myself. As a result, our agreements have always been kept separate. I’m not interested in sharing equally, thank you.’

When Louis asked Katie about their current form of interaction, Katie confessed, “I don’t talk to him at all. Not a word. Everything is handled legally now, as he was rather envious of my work.

This year, Katie asserted that Peter, known for his hit song Mysterious Girl in 1996, found it challenging to cope with her success surpassing his, and stated that she was the one who made him significant.

During her appearance on Anything Goes with James English in March, she stated: ‘For the tasks we undertook jointly, I ensured that we had distinct employment agreements and I always received a higher compensation.’

It seemed challenging for him too. And I couldn’t help but feel, given that you’ve just arrived in the jungle, I’m already established with my career.

It’s been so long since you heard that song, you really have to work hard to get it back. This fact remains undeniable, regardless of others’ opinions – I created Pete once more, I brought him back to life.

Before venturing into the wilderness, he was an unknown entity, and it’s genuinely accurate to say so – I’m not exaggerating or being rude. Approximately a decade ago, he had his one big success, but it seems he’s forgotten his humble beginnings.

As Katie chatted with Louis, she didn’t hesitate to criticize some of her past relationships. She labeled them as ‘unhealthy’ and claimed that they had manipulated her through ‘gaslighting’, while also implying that they were self-centered, exhibiting ‘narcissistic’ behavior.

She openly stated that she has always lacked a sense of command during her relationships, confessing that she often felt vulnerable in the presence of her husband, Kieran Hayler, aged 37, whom she continuously chose to reconcile with despite his repeated infidelities.

She openly confessed, “I struggle with relationships involving men. Through therapy, I’ve discovered these issues. I find myself attracted to situations that require my dependency, often leading me into harmful relationships with narcissists or manipulative individuals. However, now that I understand what validates me, everything has changed for the better.

If only I could have understood back then what I do now, I would have returned to that time with the knowledge I possess now, as there was no therapy available, no one would have been aware of my struggles, and I didn’t take breaks between relationships because it felt like I needed to immediately find another one. It’s just crazy. (or It’s insane)

From my personal perspective and that of my clients, there is nothing ‘weak’ about Katie Price. According to her own statements, she has been quoted as being strong, knowing precisely what she wants, and taking action accordingly.

Katie is currently in a relationship with Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, 31.
