Katie Price says her ‘healthy’ romance with JJ Slater is ‘foreign’ to her following years of ‘abusive’ relationships as she admits to overhauling her lifestyle by quitting booze and partying

I’ve read about Katie’s life journey with great interest and admiration. Her experiences are a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of determination to overcome adversity.

Katie Price expresses that her current “healthy” relationship with JJ Slater feels unfamiliar to her, having previously endured years of “abusive” partnerships.

A mother of five, aged 46, shared with TopMob that she had become accustomed to mistreatment to the point where identifying a loving partner was challenging for her.

After attending a domestic abuse awareness program, her perspective shifted. Now she could recognize the red flags and stay unaffected by past triggers.

A once famous model, who was previously married to Peter Andre, Alex Reid, and Kieran Hayler, recently stated that all her past relationships involved some form of domestic abuse. Now, she is starting a new relationship with a former “Married at First Sight UK” participant.

She shares that giving up alcohol and wild parties has provided a stronger base for her, and now prefers tranquil evenings at her newly relocated residence instead of rowdy nights out.

In her own words, she shared, “Things are going extremely well between me and JJ. I’ve taken a domestic abuse awareness course, which helped me recognize that my past relationships were unhealthy. It’s easy to become accustomed to toxic dynamics.”

The class was extensive, featuring workshops and video sessions. However, I made an alarming discovery: my past relationships displayed elements of domestic abuse. Adjusting to a healthy connection is unfamiliar territory for me.

In various instances, I’ve pondered if something would set me off or worsen the situation. However, my relationship with JJ is unlike any other, bringing about fresh experiences that are positive and nurturing.

Before encountering JJ, I was prepared and in a favorable position to begin a new romantic journey. However, my life has undergone significant transformations since then. I’m now ready to rebuild my empire from scratch.

The podcast host is the mom of Harvey, age 22, who hasn’t had much involvement from his father, former footballer Dwight Yorke. She also raised Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, during her marriage to Peter from 2005 to 2009.

She also shares Jett, 10, and Bunny, nine, with Kieran before they split after five years in 2018. 

More recently, she had a relationship with ex-Love Island participant Carl Woods, who is 35 years old. However, they ultimately called it quits on their romance last year.

I’ve been head over heels in love with JJ, who’s fifteen years younger than me, since February. We’ve had heartfelt conversations about starting a family together. And let me tell you, I’m itching to be a mother once more! But I can’t provide an exact timeline for when that will happen. There’s no need to rush anything in our relationship.

A woman who used to appear on Loose Women and has been charged with 11 drink-driving violations over the past 15 years acknowledges that her life has become better for her since avoiding nightclubs and limiting her alcohol consumption.

I can’t help but feel elated when she confesses that she doesn’t require alcohol to feel powerful. In fact, she’s positively radiant when she asserts that her self-assurance shines brightly on stage without a drop in sight.

She shared: “I haven’t given up drinking due to being prohibited from doing so. Instead, I’ve discovered new meaning in my life through partying less, attending therapy sessions, and writing my latest book. I’ve been there, I’ve experienced it all.”

Let me clarify, I do enjoy a glass of Prosecco from time to time. However, when it comes to going out for a wild night and getting seriously intoxicated as in the past, I’ve had plenty of those experiences already.

Based on my personal experience, I have come to value the importance of getting a good night’s sleep. After years of pushing through tiredness and powering through my evenings, I’ve discovered that dedicating my evenings to relaxing activities and ensuring I get enough rest makes a significant difference in how I feel when I wake up. The mornings are now filled with energy and vitality, allowing me to tackle the day with renewed focus and enthusiasm. So, rather than pushing myself to stay awake late into the night, I choose to prioritize my health and wellbeing by waking up fresh.

When I step outside, others consume alcohol, but since I must work the following day and long to ride my horses, it’s better for me to have a restful night instead.

‘I must sound really boring but I’m not, my life has been bettered in different ways.

When my sister and I collaborate on our podcast with me being pregnant, I abstain from drinking alcohol prior to taking the stage for my performances. Performing sober gives me an enhanced sense of power. I possess a strong personality that doesn’t require the aid of alcohol.

After experiencing a mental collapse, leading her to rely on alcohol and drugs, Katie reached out for assistance.

In 2021, under the influence of cocaine, she caused a car accident and was given a suspended sentence for 16 weeks.

Today, she remains prohibited from driving due to past infractions, and she asserts that she has not been granted license restoration yet, following reports of misconduct submitted to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency.

In May, the most recent turn of events for her occurred as she was forced out of her run-down mansion named Mucky Mansion, and commenced a fresh beginning by relocating to a spacious four-bedroom house situated in Surrey.

For the past three months, she has resided in her new home. Despite experiencing reasons other than bankruptcy that led to her previous moves, she is deeply fond of this new place and her children share her affection for it as well.

As a dedicated follower who has outgrown my current living situation, I found myself compelled to seek a new abode. The old house, once a source of comfort and security, has unfortunately become a breeding ground for unwanted drama and distressing recollections. Its expansive dimensions no longer served my needs effectively.

I’ve been through a significant transformation recently. My old house and I have parted ways just as I embarked on a new journey to revitalize my life and prioritize my mental health. It feels like I’ve gone through a cleansing process, emerging refreshed and enlightened from the experience. For nine long years, that house held nothing but painful memories. But now, my new home is a beacon of hope and happiness in my life. I couldn’t be more grateful for this fresh start.

As an obsessed fan, I’ve always found myself misunderstood by the crowd. Deep down, I’ve been a homebody and a family person, cherishing cozy nights in and precious moments with my loved ones. Recently, I’ve chosen to broaden my horizons and explore new experiences. I indulge in dinner dates, cinema trips, dog walks, board game sessions, and even TV marathons. To be completely honest, the thought of going clubbing leaves me feeling outdated and disconnected.

Instead of finding Katie in nightclubs, her supporters have the opportunity to attend live shows by her this coming October.

At Blackpool’s Joe Longthorne Theatre, Katie is set to appear in a mature adaptation of Aladdin. She assures the public, they should prepare for an unfiltered performance from her with plenty of risqué humor.

In a delightful twist, she assumes the role of the enchanting genie in the lamp. Her fervor for this undertaking stems from her deep affinity for Aladdin, her favorite Disney movie. This fondness was further cemented when she collaborated with her ex-husband Peter Andre on an album titled “A Whole New World” back in 2006.

She mentioned that she would be featured in two panto productions this year. The initial one is intended for adults, and she was taken aback due to the challenge of memorizing the lines since it takes place every Saturday in October in Blackpool, an experience she finds enjoyable.

I greatly enjoy participating in adult pantomimes as it allows me to let my mischievous side out and have a blast. The more mature humor used is right up my alley. In this production, I assume the role of the genie in Aladdin. I’m eagerly anticipating the reveal of our extravagant costumes, especially since we’ll be performing in Blackpool where anything can happen!

As a passionate admirer of music and performance, I’m thrilled at the prospect of singing on stage. Stepping outside my comfort zone with panto productions may be challenging, but it’s an experience I eagerly embrace. Learning scripts and developing characters isn’t simple, especially for someone like me without formal training. My life tends to be filled with its own share of drama, yet the opportunity to be a part of this show and act is a welcome challenge that pushes me beyond my comfort zone.
