Katie Price has announced that her son Harvey, who weighs 28 stone, will soon start a new medication to help him lose weight, following successful trials.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m often asked about quick fixes for weight loss. I recently shared that my 23-year-old son is currently focusing on diet to shed some pounds, but he’s also considering weight loss injections to help accelerate his results.
By April, he weighed nearly 30 stone, but after changing his diet, he managed to lose 1.5 stone.
Harvey lives with several complex conditions, including blindness, autism, and a genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome. He also has septo-optic dysplasia and a learning disability, which present additional challenges.
Katie is worried about her son, who has Prader-Willi syndrome and experiences constant, overwhelming hunger. She fears for his life, as previous attempts to help him lose weight haven’t been successful, and believes he urgently needs more support.
On her podcast Thursday, Katie mentioned that her husband hasn’t begun using weight-loss injections, but they’ve discussed the possibility of him trying Mounjaro.

Katie went on to explain that a new weight loss drug was about to be released while he was there.
‘They’ve clinically tested it on people and they’ve got a few people they’re putting it on first.’
‘And if it works, then Harvey can go on it in the new year.
They’re recommending he begin taking Mounjaro. They believe starting with Mounjaro before switching to the new medication will lead to faster results.
He hasn’t begun taking Mounjaro yet because his doctors first wanted him to attempt weight loss through diet alone, exploring all other options first.
In April, Katie expressed her sadness that Harvey had gained almost 30 stone, making it difficult for him to walk and putting his life in danger.
She explained at the time: ‘I’m so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up.
I checked the weight conversion online, and 188 kilograms is only a few kilograms shy of 30 stone. I’m currently waiting to hear back from the doctors about starting Mounjaro and beginning his journey towards a healthier lifestyle.

Mounjaro, also known as tirzepatide, is a weight loss drug that’s been getting a lot of attention. Many believe it’s more effective at helping people lose weight than other popular medications like Ozempic.
She explained how heartbreaking it was to see Harvey struggle, but promised she’d be there to support him through everything.
Katie explained that it’s heartbreaking to see him struggling so much with his current weight, as it severely limits what he can do.
He’s at high risk of a heart attack and has been finding it difficult to do things like put on his shoes or even walk, but I love him and I’m committed to supporting him through these challenges.
It’s heartbreaking to see someone struggling with obesity, especially when they don’t realize the severity of the situation.
Katie has five children: Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, from her marriage to Peter Andre, and Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11, from her marriage to Kieran Hayler.
