Katie Piper’s Miraculous New Glass Eye: Before and After Shots!

On Wednesday, Katie Piper announced that she was embarking on a fresh chapter in her life by going to Germany for innovative cosmetic surgery on her damaged eye.

In 2008, the TV host suffered severe facial wounds after an assault involving sulphuric acid, which was planned by ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch and executed by his associate Stefan Sylvestre.

She’s had multiple intricate surgeries since then, such as operations designed to disintegrate her substantial scar tissue and minimize skin tightening.

For her recent trip, Piper, aged 41, journeyed to Hamburg to explore the Institute of Artificial Eyes, a recently established, privately-owned enterprise specializing in the supply of both glass and plastic artificial eyes as prosthetics.

On Instagram, the host, alongside her partner Richard Sutton, posted a collection of their travel experiences, featuring snapshots showing the difference between her natural eye and the one equipped with a glass prosthesis.

Undoubtedly thrilled with the outcomes, Piper commended the clinic and its groundbreaking endeavors in a post on Instagram, which read: ‘Stepping into a fresh phase. Feeling invigorated by the skillful and precise craftsmanship of The Weinder Brothers on my innovative glass replacement eye shell.’

As stated on their site, the Weinder-owned clinic works diligently to achieve ‘facial balance restoration’ and support both the physical and emotional recovery of patients by customizing and fitting each prosthesis according to the unique preferences and requirements of each individual.

Following her confession about forgoing the dream of having another child due to an unexpected surgery, Piper has now embarked on a journey to Hamburg.

The speaker asserted that her experience of filming the TV show “Locked Up” inside New Orleans Parish Prison, where she interacted with incarcerated mothers, moved her so deeply that it sparked a desire in her to have another child – a third one – as many of these inmates shared heartrending stories about how much they missed their own children.

She shared with The Mirror: “The thought crossed my mind, ‘This may be my final opportunity to have another child, as I’ll turn 40 soon. If I don’t act now, I might never get the chance.’

In order to perform the surgery on her left eye, Piper needed to be put under general anesthesia. This eye had been injured in a distressing acid attack that occurred in 2008, which was masterminded by a man she had a brief relationship with.

She clarified, “You see, I needed to undergo general anesthesia, which isn’t compatible with trying to conceive. So, it’s important to consider that unforeseen operations might occur.

‘So that scuppered that and we had a break. We tried again, but it just didn’t happen.’

As a devoted follower, I too have pondered the path of In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), but given the 250 surgical procedures I’ve undergone since the acid attack in 2008, the thought of additional hospital visits and the emotional strain if this method failed, left me with a heavy heart. Therefore, with a reluctant spirit, I chose to let go of my dream to welcome a third child into our family.

Yet, there was a sense of incompleteness lingering within her, thus she chose to donate her time at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. It was here that she found and brought home a new puppy.

During her attempts to have a child, she also started volunteering and taking care of dogs, and it felt like a natural progression to acquire a pet dog.

She mentioned that her friend, Alison, assisted in selecting the perfect dog for her household – a tranquil female puppy from the half cockapoo breed named Sugar.

In the year 2008, when I was only 24 years old, my life took an unexpected turn for the worst. My then-boyfriend, Daniel Lynch, and his accomplice, Stefan Sylvestre, brutally attacked me with acid. This event forever altered the course of my life.

In March of that year, a woman who had only been dating Daniel for a couple of weeks was viciously sexually assaulted by a highly trained martial artist, fueled by steroids, in a hotel room after she decided to end their relationship.

She is the mom of two girls, Belle (aged 11) and Penelope (7 years old), alongside her husband Richard, whom she wedded in 2015.
