As a lifestyle expert with a rich background in both acting and fashion, I must admit that Katie Holmes is truly setting the bar high for us all! Her flawless style at the Hourglass Cosmetics and Barneys New York event was an exquisite display of timeless elegance, showcasing her impeccable taste and toned physique.
Katie Holmes radiated elegance while wearing a very stylish black gown, showing her enthusiasm for New York Fashion Week
On a Tuesday, the actress, aged 45, graced the opening event for both Hourglass Cosmetics’ temporary outlet and Barneys New York special store, situated in Manhattan
She looked stunningly elegant in a beautifully tailored, sleeveless black dress, showcasing her well-toned arms and highlighting her slender waistline
The former star of Dawson’s Creek, whose child, Suri Cruise, has started college, chose a modern hairstyle featuring her hair styled into shiny curls that fell to her midriff
She finished it off with a chic center part.

The dress featured a gently pleated maxi skirt that dropped down to her calves.
She put on a pair of sleek, black slip-on flats for her shoes, and added a touch of style with a nose ring
At the gathering that Katie attended, it was organized by Carisa Janes, who is both the founder and president of Hourglass, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Julie Gilhart, the leader of Gilhart & Co, and also fashion expert Simon Doonan
As stated in a news announcement, participants at the event were led into an area transformed as a ‘mysterious, re-envisioned realm’, offering a range of ‘sensory engagements’. Oversized sand timer brushes stood prominently in the heart of this space
Guests enjoyed blindfolded tastings as they made their way through the space.
The musical entertainment was provided by DJs Angel & Dren while subway showtime crew Showtime also put on a bespoke dance show.
This year’s NYFW runs from September 6 to 11.
Presently, Katie is practicing for a new production of Our Town by Thornton Wilder at the Barrymore Theatre. (Using “presently” to indicate the current situation and “practicing” instead of “rehearsing”, which might be perceived as more formal or technical.)
In 2008, Katie first graced the Broadway stage with the play “All My Sons”, and more recently, she was seen on Broadway in 2012 for the production of “Dead Accounts”

‘Love working on @ourtownbroadway,’ the actress wrote on social media recently.
Currently, we’re immersed in rehearsals, and it’s been an absolute blast! Here I am alongside the incredibly gifted, warm-hearted, hilarious, and amazing @zoeydeutch
‘Come see @ourtownbroadway, preview performances begin September 17. We open October 10!’
She will star as Mrs. Webb, the mother of Deutsch’s protagonist Emily Webb.

In this adaptation, Richard Thomas, aged 73 and known for his work on The Waltons, is set to portray Mr. Webb, while Jim Parsons assumes the position of the Stage Manager
In this modern adaptation, originally staged in 1938, Ephraim Sykes takes on the role of George Gibbs, while Billy Eugene Jones portrays his character’s father, Dr. Gibbs
