Katie Holmes proves she hasn’t aged since her Dawson’s Creek days
Katie Holmes has shown hardly any signs of aging since her spellbinding portrayal of Joey Potter in Dawson’s Creek, the cherished television show on The WB network that aired from 1998 until 2003.
At present, age 46, the actress has been seen on the movie set for her upcoming production titled “Happy Hours.” Besides starring in this project, she is also the writer and director of it.
As she diligently worked backstage, Holmes maintained the same effortless charisma and vibrant vitality that initially catapulted her into national fame.
Wearing a long-sleeved black shirt beneath a timeless pair of denim overalls, and completing the look with sturdy boots, she presented an updated interpretation of her famous teenage character.
Her gaze stirred up a feeling of comforting recollection, bringing to mind the unassuming girl from Capeside, who had won over many hearts through her sidelong glances and quick-witted charm.
This week, not just Holmes’ unique approach was grabbing attention, but also the excitement among Dawson’s Creek fans for their beloved actress’ reunion with her former co-star, Joshua Jackson.
On a Monday, Joshua and Katie gleamed with joy upon reuniting after 22 years, to perform together once more.
The actor from Ohio and the 47-year-old Canadian actress are well known for playing high school sweethearts in Capeside.
In this heartfelt comedy-drama, Holmes and Jackson take on roles of ex-lovers meeting again after many years. As they rediscover their feelings for each other, they juggle professional obligations and family duties along the way.
In these upcoming films, the actor from Our Town both pens the script and takes on a leading role. This trilogy will also serve as her fourth, fifth, and sixth directorial projects.
In my heartfelt excitement, I can’t help but express my profound gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate once more with such a delightful group of friends on our film, “Happy Hours.” Katie here, and I’m thrilled to be part of this fantastic journey!
Working alongside Josh, a friend from many years past, serves as a heartwarming symbol of our enduring bond. ‘Happy Hours’ is more than just a film; it’s a love letter to the people I hold dear. We eagerly anticipate sharing with everyone the creation we bring forth.
In a fascinating twist, reality mirrored fiction when the character portraying Sherlock Holmes was actually involved with an actress nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award, during the early stages of filming Dawson’s Creek.
In 1998, during an interview with Rolling Stone, the guest star at The Poker House shared enthusiastically that they had encountered someone the previous year, developed a deep affection for them, experienced their first love, and it was an experience so extraordinary and beyond words.

‘I consider myself incredibly lucky since he’s become one of my closest friends. It’s quite strange but it feels like Dawson and Joey from the show, in a way. He’s been in this industry for ages, and his guidance has been truly invaluable to me. I hold him in high regard both as a friend and as a professional.’
In the final episode, ordinary Joey Potter, known as “Joey,” and her troubled neighbor Pacey Witter reconciled, choosing to tune in to the television program “The Creek” created by their old friend Dawson Leary (portrayed by James Van Der Beek).
In the background, it was Joshua who took charge as director for the first time, overseeing the production of the 2003 episode entitled ‘Lovelines’, which happened to be during the last season.
As an ardent fan of Dawson’s Creek, I couldn’t help but share my excitement when Katie made her latest announcement on Instagram. With a heart full of enthusiasm, I exclaimed, “Joey and Pacey, for eternity!
‘Joey and Pacey end game,’ Instagram user @hapagal73 agreed.

@shanja12 remarked that your post resonated deeply with a whole new generation. They’re eagerly anticipating seeing your upcoming project!
Instagram user @dani_o_catlady wrote: ‘Elder millennial minds are exploding right now.’
Instagram user @sonolaniki shared a funny meme of Dawson crying.
‘At least we didn’t need to wait until it was too late!’ This reflects the sentiment from the popular song “I Don’t Want to Wait” by Paula Cole from 1997.
‘Hear me out,’ Instagram user @mrsblumenfeld commented. ‘You and Josh fall in love in real life.’

Jackson and Holmes, who are both divorced, finalized their five-year marriage to Jodie Turner-Smith in May, and they share daughters as parents of daughters.
Holmes ended her six-year marriage to Tom Cruise in 2012.
The TV show “Katie’s Happy Hours” features actors such as Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson, and Jack Martin on its main cast.
Among the eight individuals listed as producers by IMDb for this grand venture, Trudie Styler – who is Sting’s second spouse – is included.
In the production of Rare Objects, the director-actress invited her fellow performers from Our Town – John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., and Sky Smith – to join her in her three-part series.
In the Broadway revival of Thornton Wilder’s 1938 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, directed by Kenny Leon, Holmes finished her portrayal of Myrtle Webb. This production ran from October 10 to January 19 at the Barrymore Theatre in Midtown Manhattan.
