Katie Holmes showed off her off-duty style this week as she stepped out in New York City.

The 45-year-old actress, recently seen in another stylish ensemble, effortlessly rocked an unusual style while showcasing a trendy, multi-toned windbreaker jacket with muted colors.

The former Dawson’s Creek actress donned an outerwear piece boasting panels of olive green and toned orange, atop a simple white T-shirt. She completed her casual look by pairing gray jogger sweatpants, striped socks in shades of purple and magenta, and cream and white sneakers with a subtle platform.

It might be that the costliest item in Holmes’ attire was the $2,400 medium-sized ‘Amelia Envelope Pleat Tote Bag’ by Khaite, which she held on her arm.

Two weeks prior, I eagerly anticipate the return of Katie’s daughter, Suri Cruise, from Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania. Her arrival coincides with our family’s Thanksgiving celebration, commencing on November 27.

Katie’s long, dark brown hair seemed slightly wet and was combed down the middle while she was on the phone.

The individual, who co-parents an 18-year-old daughter named Suri with his former spouse Tom Cruise, donned aviator sunglasses featuring tortoiseshell rims.

She wor stud earrings as she made animated expressions while chatting on her cellular device.

After Suri started college at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in August, Katie has been adjusting to life as a parent of an empty nest.

In a conversation with Town & Country over the summer, Holmes expressed that he takes great pride in his daughter. Although he knows he’ll certainly feel the absence of close proximity, he is extremely proud of her and genuinely happy.

Despite their strained relationship, Cruise covers Suri’s yearly tuition fees amounting to $65,000, along with her medical, dental, and insurance costs.

Currently, Holmes is vigorously endorsing her newest endeavor, a part in the Broadway production of Our Town, which premiered on October 10th.

Written by Thornton Wilder, the show has returned to the stage for the first time in over 20 years.

This restoration boasts a grand lineup of 28 performers, among them are Holmes, Jim Parsons, Zoey Deutch, Ephraim Sykes, Julie Halston, and Michelle Wilson.

Katie plays Mrs. Webb in the play, starring opposite Richard Thomas’ Mr. Webb.
