Holmes is currently starring as Mrs Webb in a new production of the Broadway play Our Town.
On Sunday, as reported by the New York Daily News, Suri Cruise, Katie’s daughter, went to see a performance of her mother’s play.
According to the report, it was Suri who leaped up quickly, along with dermatologist Dr. Kenneth Mark and divorce attorney Ken Jewell, as Holmes made her appearance on stage to receive applause.
Katie has been getting raves online for her performance, being called ‘phenomenal’ and ‘amazing.’
For the first time in more than two decades, Thornton Wilder’s play “Our Town” is back on Broadway.
28 performers make up the cast in this revival, with Holmes, Jim Parsons, Zoey Deutch, Ephraim Sykes, Julie Halston, and Michelle Wilson among them.
The story unfolds in a traditional small-town setting, with a stage manager providing insights into the townspeople’s daily routines, chronicling how a childhood friendship develops into matrimony, and ultimately revealing profound realities about existence itself, as described on the official Broadway website.
The previews for this production began on Tuesday, September 17th at the Barrymore Theatre, with the official opening night scheduled for October 10th. The show will continue running up until January 19th, 2025.
In 2008, Katie first graced the stage of Broadway with the play All My Sons. More recently, she was seen on Broadway in Dead Accounts in 2012.

At present, Suri, the daughter of Holmes, is studying at Carnegie Mellon University located in Pennsylvania.
For over a dozen years, Suri has resided largely under the scrutiny of relentless conjecture regarding her tumultuous bond with her well-known father, Tom Cruise, who she was wedded to between 2006 and 2012.
For quite some time, Cruise has found himself virtually disconnected from the life of his youngest child due to a deep-rooted disagreement, mainly caused by Katie and Suri distancing themselves from his strongly debated beliefs in Scientology.
