On Sunday, Katie Holmes seemed cheerful as she made her way to a matinee showing of her Broadway production, Our Town.
On her birthday, which falls on December 18, the 46-year-old actress opted for a casual outfit. She wore loose-fitting denim in a shade of blue, paired with a striped sweater in blues and whites, and completed the look with a textured brown jacket.
The former star of Dawson’s Creek was spotted wearing a dark-gray beanie and large sunglasses, strolling along with two cups of coffee in hand.
As I strolled along, my long, brown tresses cascaded freely beneath my hat, while a chic black tote bag adorned my shoulder.
Holmes’ ensemble was punctuated by a pair of white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
This event occurred a few days following when her castmates and 18-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, honored her with a celebration for her birthday.
At the Barrymore Theatre in Midtown Manhattan, Suri, daughter of Tom Cruise, unexpectedly appeared backstage during her mother’s performance, joining her fellow cast members and crew to serenade her with a rendition of “Happy Birthday.
Holmes posted a video on her Instagram Story, capturing the moment when the Carnegie Mellon University freshman was singing, accompanied by an old Robert Redford photograph with the birthday message, “Happy Birthday Katie!”.
2024 saw our town’s theatre being highly acclaimed and listed amongst the top theatres of the year by Entertainment Weekly, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, as well as several other esteemed publications.
Katie took to Instagram last week to acknowledge the ranking with a message of gratitude.
With almost three million people following along, she expressed her gratitude by posting, ‘Amazing! It’s such an honor to be involved in this project, speaking these lovely lines alongside my beloved co-stars.’
She added that the show is, ‘led by @therealjimparsons and directed by @iamkennyleon.’
On the 14th of December, Katie shared pictures from her work holiday party and commented, ‘What an unexpected delight! Thanks a bunch, Santa (Donald Webber), for dropping by our Saturday night celebration after the show! What a lovely surprise!!!’
Holmes has been vigorously advocating for her recently launched production, titled “Our Town,” which premiered on October 10.
Written by Thornton Wilder, the show has returned to the stage for the first time in over 20 years.
28 performers, among them Holmes, Jim Parsons, Zoey Deutch, Ephraim Sykes, Julie Halston, and Michelle Wilson, are part of this comeback.
