Katie Holmes was bursting with joy while she and former boyfriend Joshua Jackson filmed more scenes for their upcoming movie series titled “Happy Hours.
More than twenty years back, the pair portrayed Katie as Joey Potter and Joshua as Pacey Witter on the show Dawson’s Creek.
Now, let’s head over to the outskirts of New York City on a Monday, where the ex-co-stars from Dawson’s Creek seemed happier than usual, as they rejoiced in meeting each other yet again on set.
In costume, Katie, aged 46, donned a red sweetheart tank top paired with brown pants. She had a romantic history with Joshua from the years 1998 to 1999.
She added a pair of brown loafers and pulled her brunette tresses into a low up do.
For his part, the Doctor Odyssey star, 47, sported a button-up denim shirt and navy blue trousers.
The pair were seen deep in discussion before high-fiving each other on set.
The pair, known for their roles as Katie (Joey Potter) and Joshua (Pacey Witter) from Dawson’s Creek over twenty years back, sparked excitement among viewers this past Monday by coming together in Manhattan to start filming again.
Following Katie’s heartfelt Instagram post about her friendship with Joshua, she expressed: ‘I feel incredibly thankful to collaborate once more with numerous treasured companions on this movie, HAPPY HOURS. Reuniting with Josh after all these years underscores the strength of our bond.’
In the well-known American teen soap that concluded in 2003 following six seasons, a couple was shown who had been past lovers; they bumped into each other again after many years and reignited their romance.
During the early years of the show, they found themselves romantically involved as well, with Katie and Joshua dating off-screen.
In 1998, Katie shared with Rolling Stone: “I’ll simply put it out there – I encountered someone the previous year, and I fell deeply in love for the very first time. The experience was extraordinary and beyond words.
I’m incredibly lucky as he has become one of my dearest friends. It’s quite unusual, but it seems we have developed a bond reminiscent of Dawson and Joey from the TV show.
He has been involved in this field for quite some time now, and his assistance has been invaluable to me. I hold him in high regard, both personally as a friend and professionally.
Following our separation, I tied the knot with actress Jodie Turner-Smith in 2019. Regrettably, we parted ways in 2023. During this period, Katie Holmes was married to Tom Cruise from 2006 until 2012.
Following their reunion a week ago, both ordinary fans and famous companions have been posting on Instagram, sharing their joy.
Busy Philipps, known for playing Pacey’s girlfriend, Audrey Liddle, on Dawson’s Creek, expressed her anticipation for the upcoming movie by saying: ‘We are ready to roll.’

In addition to starring in the movie, Katie also wrote the screenplay and is serving as director.
