Kathy Hilton says she still ‘loves’ hosting parties at her Beverly Hills mansion… after it was nearly burglarized

Kathy Hilton loves hosting parties at her Beverly Hills mansion.

The reality TV star hosted a party at her lavish home on Monday, welcoming entrepreneur Cindy Eckert along with Tara Rudes Dann.

Eckert’s new documentary, ‘The Pink Pill: Sex, Drugs & Who Has Control,’ reveals the previously unknown story of the fight to get the first FDA-approved drug to treat low sexual desire in women approved and available.

‘It’s no secret I love entertaining at home,’ Hilton told the Daily Mail.

Kathy shared that she loves celebrating life’s big moments with family and friends, and enjoys hosting events to bring everyone together.

She then said: ‘Our house lends itself beautifully to this type of entertaining.’

Eckert shared that Los Angeles showed incredible support, an experience he’ll always cherish. He especially praised Kathy Hilton, who hosted a stunning celebration for the film ‘The Pink Pill.’ From their first meeting, Eckert has been impressed by Kathy’s kindness and generosity.

Last night, I was surrounded by eighty of the most talented and influential women in Hollywood. The energy in the room was incredible – a real feeling of women genuinely supporting each other.

This news follows Paris Hilton’s recent disclosure that a burglary at her home last month could have been far more dangerous for her husband.

According to 66-year-old Kyle Richards, who spoke with Extra, Rick Hilton pulled out a shotgun and fired it when three intruders broke into their Los Angeles home.

The burglary happened while Kathy was in Las Vegas for BravoCon with the other Housewives, and it’s not known if her being away contributed to the incident.

Paris Hilton shared at The Hollywood Reporter’s 2025 Women in Entertainment Gala that a burglar broke into her home during a rainstorm, entering through a broken kitchen window.

She added that their security guard had been ‘down at the guest house’ when the robbers broke in.

Oh my god, Kathy said Rick heard them, you guys! And then… and then he grabbed his shotgun. I know, it’s awful, but she actually said that! They just… they broke down the door, right into their bedroom! The master bedroom! Can you even imagine?! It’s just… so scary and intense, I’m obsessed with knowing every detail!

She said three burglars broke into the house and confronted her husband after forcing their way through the door.

Kathy said Rick faced the burglars, brandishing his shotgun and yelling at them to leave immediately, warning that the police were coming.

The reality star explained that a security guard showed up while the burglary was in progress and encountered the thieves, but it’s not known what happened during that encounter.

She said the three men ran out of the house, but Rick wasn’t done trying to scare them off.

‘He started shooting the gun out of his office in the air,’ Kathy admitted.

After the robbery, they upgraded their security system to be much more sensitive.

It’s unbelievable – even a slight touch sets off the alarm. Kathy told me that when Carol visited today, the entire house alarm system activated,” she said.

Shortly after a break-in at Kathy and Rick’s house, police arrived on the scene. However, the burglars were already gone, and it’s currently unknown if anything was stolen during the quick attempt.

It was a strange coincidence that Kathy’s house was burglarized on the same day as her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar, Sutton Stracke – though Sutton’s break-in happened earlier in the day.

I remember getting a call around 2 p.m. that day – it was Sutton’s dog walker, and they were really shaken up. Someone had broken a window in the kitchen, and they’d immediately called 911. It was a scary situation, to say the least!

Police investigated the scene and filed a report, but it’s still unclear whether anything was stolen from Sutton’s house, or if this incident was connected to another break-in.

Kathy recounted the scary event only a day before the fifteenth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to premiere on Bravo.

Kathy expressed frustration that promotional clips often spoil the season’s big surprises. However, she’s hopeful they can actually surprise viewers this time.

She didn’t want to spoil the surprise. She thought this was the first time everyone had managed to keep things under wraps, and she appreciated that.

This follows Paris Hilton’s recent comments praising her parents, Kathy and her father, for helping her stay balanced after becoming famous.

As someone who’s observed a lot of people navigating fame, I’ve always been fascinated by how individuals cope with sudden public attention. Paris Hilton recently shared a really sweet story about advice her mother gave her the night before ‘The Simple Life’ premiered back in 2003. Apparently, it was incredibly helpful in guiding her through the often-challenging world of show business, and it’s a testament to the power of a mother’s wisdom!

At Los Angeles magazine’s LA Woman Luncheon, Paris shared that her mother instilled in her the value of giving back to the community.

I’ll never forget what my mom told me the night before ‘The Simple Life’ premiered. She said, ‘Paris, tomorrow when the show airs on Fox, your life will change completely, but please always stay the kind and genuine person you are, and don’t ever forget that.’

‘[I keep those words] close to [my] heart …

I’ve lived here for years, and I’ve noticed that success can change people. That’s something I always want to avoid.

I’m so thankful for my wonderful parents who helped me become the person I am today.

Paris also shared that her grandmother greatly influenced her perspective on life. She described both her grandmother and mother as incredibly kind, funny, and wonderful mothers who she looks up to.

Paris received the Woman of the Year award in April at a glamorous event held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She was recognized for her work supporting people impacted by the California wildfires earlier in the year.

After losing her Malibu home in the recent disaster, the socialite is now focused on fundraising efforts to help rebuild other communities impacted by the fires.

I’ve been following Paris’s story, and it breaks my heart to hear that her little ones, Phoenix and London, are having a tough time. She recently shared that they’re still trying to process losing their home, and it’s just so sad because they’re so young and don’t really understand what’s happened.

She explained to Grazia magazine that it was difficult for her children to be forced to leave their home, describing the stress of having to evacuate twice. Because of the poor air quality caused by the fires, she’s also been limiting how much time the children spend playing outside.

She explained that they normally go for a walk in the park each day, but Phoenix keeps wondering why they can’t go out.

We have plenty of air purifiers and masks to use when we’re out, and we’re careful to stay safe.
