In his interview with Jimmy Kimmel on November 2024, Griffin recounted the details behind the prank’s development.
The comedian shared that his latest pastime involves adding Sharon Stone to a group text whenever she cancels our dinner plans, causing quite a laugh from Kimmel. He added, “Jimmy, she seems to be wanting to harm me.

‘Around four,’ Griffin said. ‘And they’re like 17-person text chains.’

‘I like that,’ Kimmel said while giggling. ‘I’m going to use that, I like that idea.’
Griffin also appears to be reigniting her long-standing feud with Will Smith.
The well-known, contentious comedian asserted that the actor had been distant towards her during their previous collaboration many years ago – a time long before she publicly criticized him for his now-notorious Oscar slap incident.
On her Talk Your Head Off podcast last Tuesday, the actress reminisced about her beginnings in Hollywood, specifically when she got a guest spot on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1990.
However, as per Griffin’s account, it wasn’t until filming that Smith, who was on the rise at the time, paid no attention to her.
But according to Griffin, Smith, a rising star, didn’t acknowledge her until they started filming.
‘This was the first big gig I had,’ she said, adding, ‘He did not talk to me until show day.’
Griffin clarified that the show was filmed prior to the debut of The Fresh Prince, during a period when Smith was mainly recognized for his rapping career.
She explained that Smith had ‘ignored her all week because he’s launching a gigantic show.’
On the day we eventually had a chat, which was a Friday, I asked him, “Should I address you as The Fresh Prince or Will?”, and he replied, “Feel free to call me Will.
‘Indeed, that’s what I did. To be honest, I felt rather anxious in his presence since I had watched all of his videos. It was also thrilling to know that Jazzy Jeff was there for a day, which added to the excitement. The live audience went wild when they spotted Jazzy Jeff, and if my memory serves me right, he might have even spun some tunes.’
Though she recognized the stress Smith faced as the lead of a fresh series, she asserted that he kept his distance throughout the week, becoming more approachable only when the cameras started filming.
She mentioned that he spent a considerable amount of time learning more about her, by inquiring about her and offering comfort to ease her tension.
Instead of explicitly saying I was nervous, it seemed like he might have sensed that I had never performed in such a large-scale event before.
