Kathy Bates shows slimmed down figure at LaGuardia Airport after 100lb weight loss with Ozempic help
As a dedicated follower of Kathy Bates’ career, I must say that her transformation is nothing short of inspiring. At 76 years old, she exudes energy, vitality, and a zest for life that is truly contagious. Her journey from a size 3X to a size 10, spanning over six years and fueled by dedication, perseverance, and a positive mindset, is a testament to her indomitable spirit.
Kathy Bates displayed her slender physique during her recent public appearance, clarifying any confusion about her use of Ozempic.
On a Friday, the 76-year-old actress was seen at LaGuardia Airport in New York, boarding a plane with her usual vigor and vitality.
The Oscar-winning actress made her entrance, sporting a tailored blue denim outfit and a beige shirt beneath a casual, warm-hued jacket. She walked through the glass doors that slid open.
Following a laid-back and stylish appearance, the native of Memphis, Tennessee accessorized her look with a pair of white sneakers and reflective sunglasses.
To complete her overall appearance, the actress wore her silver hair styled long at the back while sweeping it away from her face in the front with a delicate, central parting.
Stepping confidently through the entrance and past the revolving gates, I maintained my steady stride, my arm gracefully cradling a sleek black handbag slung across my shoulder, securely holding my smartphone within its confines.
The gifted celebrity openly discusses her remarkable physical change, admitting that she feels like an entirely new person following a weight loss of approximately 100 lbs.
A few days following the announcement that her Matlock reboot show on CBS had been renewed for a second season, and not long after the debut of the fresh series, her travel day arrives.
Instead of the initial series where Andy Griffith played the role, this new version features Bates as Madeline ‘Matty’ Matlock, a recently re-entered lawyer in the workforce following a long hiatus, having been a widow all this time.
The initial broadcast of this reboot took place on September 22, followed by the airing of additional two episodes. These episodes are shown every Thursday at 9 p.m./8c.
All the hustle and bustle of doing the show also comes in the wake of all the chatter over Bates’ dramatic weight loss.
Bates expresses that she’s been granted an extended period of vitality following her weight loss, and each day seems nothing short of extraordinary to her. She clarifies that her physical transformation wasn’t a sudden event that happened overnight, but rather something that evolved gradually over the span of six years.
During my latest chat on CBS Mornings, I shared an honest sentiment: “I truly feel transformed, I couldn’t agree more.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I exclaim, “Wow, this is surprising!” I recently attended my costume fittings, and discovered that I now wear a size 10, which is quite distinct from my previous size 3X. This change allows me greater freedom to walk, move, and even pick items off racks effortlessly.
Due to increased energy from weight loss and a better diet, along with the revival of Matlock, Bates has been compelled to withdraw her recent statements about retirement from acting.
Actress ‘The Misery’ first decided to prioritize her health seriously after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes approximately in 2017, as reported by People magazine.
During the subsequent seven years, she claims to have shed around 80 pounds, which she ascribes to modifications in her lifestyle and eating habits.
After that, she dropped an additional 20 pounds while on Ozempic, a prescription drug primarily used for managing type 2 diabetes. Although it’s not officially FDA-approved for weight loss, some doctors have been prescribing it to individuals who are struggling to lose weight.

In my conversation with CBS Mornings, I shared that people have been mentioning Ozempic quite a bit in connection to something I’ve managed to achieve recently.
Allow me to emphasize to those beyond these walls that this journey was no walk in the park for me, particularly amidst the pandemic. Expressing that I’ve reached my limit is a tough pill to swallow.
Previously, the actress who played on the Titanic shared that she weighed the most in 2011 while acting in the NBC show, Harry’s Law. She openly confessed, “I found myself needing to rest whenever possible.
In the 1990 thriller movie “Misery,” directed by Rob Reiner and featuring James Caan, Bates delivered a captivating performance as Annie Wilkes that won her an Academy Award for Best Actress.
