Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb Reunite After 11 Years, Fans Are Losing It!

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I recently found myself beaming with joy as I crossed paths with none other than Hoda Kotb and the delightful Kathie Lee Gifford at the Santa Monica Post Office. This heartwarming reunion took place on a Wednesday, a mere four months after Hoda bid farewell to her esteemed role at NBC’s TODAY, and six years since Kathie gracefully retired from her own illustrious tenure there. It was truly a nostalgic moment for many of us who have admired their dynamic duo over the years.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I recently found myself in an exciting atmosphere, where two seasoned veterans of the entertainment world – one 60, the other 71 – shared a heartwarming hug before ushering in the festivities for our shopping network’s Q50 platform and TikTok Shop Super Brand Day. The chemistry between them was electric as they engaged in their playful banter, making it an unforgettable experience for all involved.

‘We’re going to be stream-living!’ Kathie Lee (born Kathryn Epstein) announced.

‘Live streaming,’ Hoda corrected.

‘No, that too!’ Gifford replied.

In a heartwarming moment, the singer of “The I Knew It Would Be You” and Kotb couldn’t help but burst into a tune: “It’s great to be back together, and it feels fantastic!

Born in Oklahoma, this woman with parents who were Muslim Egyptians, was donning her recently acquired $69.99 NYDJ ‘Mia Palazzo’ stretchy, striped trousers, which she had become a partner to sell on QVC.

Originally from Paris, Kathie Lee chose a see-through blouse and the “Petite Drawstring Pull-On” khaki pants priced at $49.99 by Nicole Miller, which she acquired through her partnership with QVC, for this occasion.

Gifford came back to the TODAY show for Hoda’s goodbye broadcast, which was aired on January 10th, marking her return to NBC after a 26-year stint, following her own 11-year tenure that concluded in 2019.

Reflecting nostalgically, the previous co-host of Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee said, “We shared something special, you, me, and Regis – three unique individuals. Each day, I eagerly anticipated spending time with all of you.

After Hoda Kotb left TODAY, it’s been reported that the show’s average viewership dropped from about 2.8 million viewers to around 2.5 million viewers. Meanwhile, her co-hosted program with Jenna Bush Hager (previously known as Jenna & Friends) has seen a decline in viewership too, dropping from approximately 1.3 million viewers to around 1.1 million viewers.

In response to Kathie Lee’s recent Instagram post, I couldn’t help but exclaim that it truly brightened up my week! (TODAY show account’s comment)

‘Today show isn’t the same without them,’ Instagram user @tennischick4 scoffed.

Instagram user @cookie1132024 concurred: “The show hasn’t been as great since you two were on it. You made it exceptional, and I wouldn’t have wanted to miss a single episode. I wish you were still working together. Jen is doing well, but nothing compares to your dynamic. I appreciate both of you.

‘Love them together loyal friends,’ Instagram user @gabella56 gushed. ‘You need your tribe.’

Instagram user @chewyzedfed suggested they co-host a podcast since they ‘would crush it together!’

After retirement, Kathie Lee and Hoda have primarily dedicated their time to nurturing relationships with their kids and, for Gifford, her grandkids.

Last week, the actress from The Baxters showed great excitement when her daughter-in-law, Erika, announced that she and her husband, Cody, are expecting their third child. This joyful news comes after they had welcomed two sons, Frank (age 2) and Ford (17 months).

Kathie Lee’s child, Cassidy, together with her spouse, Ben Wierda, delight in their 23-month-old boy named Finn.

In July of last year, Gifford endured a broken pelvis during her recuperation process following hip replacement surgery. Sadly, she lost her second spouse, Frank Gifford, in 2015.

Currently, Hoda mentioned that her five-year-old daughter Hope’s health has become more stable since they relocated to Westchester, and this includes their seven-year-old daughter Haley as well.

During her nine-year romance with former fiance Joel Schiffman that concluded in 2022, Kotb legally took custody of the two daughters.

On Thursday, the New York Post announced that a multiple Daytime Emmy Award recipient could potentially take over from Kelly Clarkson as the daytime talk show host for NBC in the upcoming year.

‘There’s a long list of names and Hoda is part of that list,’ an insider said.

‘NBC never wanted Hoda to leave. The question is would Hoda want to do it?’
