Katherine Schwarzenegger looks somber going makeup-free after Chris Pratt’s cozy reunion with ex Anna Faris

Katherine Schwarzenegger was seen shopping alone in Montecito, looking low-key and without makeup. This outing happened shortly after photos surfaced of her husband, Chris Pratt, warmly reconnecting with his former wife, Anna Faris, which sparked some public discussion.

The author, age 36, was seen leaving the fancy Pierre Lafond wine bistro. She appeared relaxed and casual as she walked through the neighborhood, which is popular with celebrities like Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The mother of three was wearing a plain black sweater and leggings. She held a small item she’d bought, with one hand tucked safely in her pocket.

She had her long, brown hair tied back in a ponytail and wore dark sunglasses as she walked down the stairs.

This get-together happened shortly after Pratt and Faris were seen together publicly for the second time since their divorce was finalized in 2018, bringing the former couple back into the spotlight.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his ex-wife were spotted sharing a friendly hug at a charity event held at St. Monica’s Catholic Church. They have a 13-year-old son together, Jack, and Schwarzenegger observed the moment from a short distance.

Although Arnold Schwarzenegger and Anna Faris were polite to each other at the charity event, they didn’t seem to have much interaction. This was different from their friendly behavior in June when they publicly reunited with Chris Pratt.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris Pratt, and Anna Faris were all in Santa Monica to celebrate Jack’s sixth-grade graduation.

Pratt and Faris stood on either side of their son for a family picture, and they even shared another hug, showing how friendly and comfortable they’ve become with each other.

People noticed the atmosphere was much more relaxed compared to when the former couple were last seen together in August 2018. Back then, they appeared strained while walking in Los Angeles.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy star, 46, and The House Bunny actress, 48, began dating in 2007.

They met while filming the 1980s-set rom-com Take Me Home Tonight. 

They became engaged a year later and married in Indonesia in 2009. They announced they were separating in 2017.

Pratt filed for divorce later that year, with the split finalized on Halloween 2018.

Faris and Pratt have both remarried. Faris married Michael Barrett in 2021, and Pratt married Schwarzenegger in 2019.

In May, Pratt once again sparked fan outrage by failing to acknowledge Faris on Mother’s Day. 

He shared a heartfelt Mother’s Day message, praising Katherine’s incredible ability to juggle everything. He wrote about how she effortlessly manages the chaos of raising children, comparing her to someone who runs a circus, a hospital, and a gourmet kitchen simultaneously. He expressed how lucky their children – and he – were to have her, ending with a loving ‘We love you. Happy Mother’s Day, Chief!’

Fans quickly called him out for skipping Faris. 

One asked, ‘Where’s the tribute to mother of your first child????’ 

Another wrote, ‘Anna Faris is a mother too.’ 

Someone else suggested it’s important to acknowledge your child’s other parent. They advised trying to maintain a peaceful relationship, if not for yourself, then for your child.

Pratt has a history of omitting Faris in previous Mother’s Day posts. 

In 2024, he wished all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day, and shared his love for his own mother, Kathy, praising her for being a loving, patient, funny, and joyful mom.

In 2021, Chris Pratt received criticism for a comment thanking Arnold Schwarzenegger for having ‘a beautiful, healthy daughter.’ Many fans interpreted this as a dig at his ex-wife, Anna Faris, whose daughter was born prematurely in 2014.

He later shared with Men’s Health that he was deeply upset by the negative reaction, even saying it was a really difficult situation because his son might eventually see the hurtful comments.

Faris found love and marriage with Barrett, a fellow cast member she met on the set of the 2018 movie Overboard. They wed in 2021.

People who know the couple say Faris and Barrett enjoy a calm, private life, which is very different from the public attention Pratt often receives.

Faris has been busy with new work, like another film in the ‘Scary Movie’ series, and she’s maintained a good relationship with Pratt as they co-parent their child.
