Katherine Ryan left ‘shocked’ as she reveals some celebrity guests on her podcast are secret ‘crackheads’

It came as a surprise to Katherine Ryan when she discovered that certain previous celebrities on her What’s My Age Again? podcast had struggled with drug addiction, as they had shared their troubled histories.

41-year-old comedian openly disclosed that numerous celebrities, particularly those from the nineties, have faced issues with crack cocaine addiction.

As a lifestyle expert, I must say, it was fascinating to witness these celebrities willingly opening up about their personal histories, leaving me, and perhaps Katherine, equally taken aback by the unexpected revelations.

As reported by The Sun, Katherine expressed at the SXSW festival in London: ‘I’m fond of individuals who share excessively; such behavior doesn’t catch me off guard.’

These days, individuals frequently approach me in public to discuss their divorces. However, it came as a surprise to discover that some of our podcast guests were struggling with drug addiction. Despite hosting numerous celebrities, particularly those popular in the 90s, many of them had issues with substance abuse and would occasionally rebound.

The podcast offers a lighthearted and amusing perspective on the topics of aging, health, and personal growth.

This program showcases conversations with well-known personalities from the UK, each of whom has had a blood test for an accurate measure of their biological age rather than their actual age.

Every week, Katherine and her guests have the pleasure of welcoming Dr Nichola Conlon, an expert in longevity and cellular aging, to help explain the test findings.

In her podcast from April, Katherine shared that she’s chosen to abandon the use of fillers as she talks about aging.

She admitted that she thinks once you’re ‘over 40 the filler has to go’ as it ‘ages you more.’

As a lifestyle connoisseur, let me share an eye-opening revelation from my past experiences: I once found myself on live television, unbeknownst to me, unprepared for the reality that TV appearances often demand a touch of Botox. Nowadays, I’m not shy about embracing this cosmetic enhancement, and I’ve even explored other related treatments without hesitation.

It’s possible that I’ve experimented with using some extra words or phrases, known as fillers, in the past. At one point, I also participated in a photoshoot related to a podcast I was involved in previously.

Katherine commented: “In my opinion, focusing on physical aging aspects such as Botox and fillers might ironically make you appear older.

In the very same podcast episode, the comedian cracked a joke about how she plans to be experimenting with MDMA by the time she turns 80 – and I, for one, can’t wait to see it!

She mentioned that she has many ideas for her later years. If, by good fortune, she reaches the age of 80, she intends to experience MDMA for the first time.

Upcoming visitors to Katherine’s fresh podcast also include Olivia Attwood, Romesh Ranganathan, Adam Buxton, Jill Scott, Bryony Gordon, Dame Sheila Hancock, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Alastair Campbell, and Dame Denise Lewis.

The podcast is now available for listening across the biggest streaming services like Rayo, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts.

Lucie Cave, the Chief Creative Officer at Bauer Media Audio, expressed her great joy in announcing that “What’s My Age Again?” will be joining our podcast clan.

Katherine consistently demonstrates an exceptional talent for seamlessly integrating humor into significant discussions, and her podcast elevates this skill to unprecedented heights.

Instead of focusing on biological age, the idea of evaluating glycolic age is revolutionary, and with Katherine’s sharp humor and renowned guest stars, we anticipate this will provide a captivating, enjoyable, and informative listen for our audience.

‘It’s truly a perfect match, and I know listeners are going to love this innovative new show.’
