Kate Winslet looks chic in an oversized white suit as she takes centre stage at a preview and Q&A for her 2023 film Lee at the BFI
As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for fashion and film, I must admit that Kate Winslet continues to captivate both on and off-screen. Her latest project, Lee, showcases her versatility as an actress, delving into the life of American ex-model Lee Miller who documented poignant moments during World War II for Vogue magazine.
On a chilly Sunday, at the BFI in Southbank, Kate Winslet presented an effortlessly stylish appearance in a loose, white ensemble as she showcased her upcoming 2023 movie “Lee” during a sneak peek and question-and-answer session.
The 48-year-old British actress showcased some cleavage while wearing a two-piece suit with a black blouse and trousers.
She completed her outfit by wearing black loafers, added a touch of elegance with a silver pendant necklace featuring a blue sun motif and a big pair of gold hoop earrings.
The movie, titled “Lee,” narrates the life story of the former American model Lee Miller, who captured significant wartime events on camera for Vogue magazine.
In the leading part, played by Kate, we additionally have Josh O’Connor, Marion Cotillard, Andy Samberg, and Alexander Skarsgard joining the cast.

At the British Film Institute’s stage, Kate put on a pair of stylish black, thick-framed spectacles to foster a connection with her audience.
Kate was accompanied on stage by Anna Smith, a well-known film critic, radio personality, and the hostess of the Girls On Film UK podcast.
In September 2023, Lee made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, with a UK cinema release scheduled for September 13.
While filming, Kate took on the responsibility of covering the crew’s wages for a fortnight because the funding was unstable.
In August, it was revealed that Kate will be heading to Australia to further promote the film.
Lee was directed by Ellen Kuras and was written by Liz Hannah, John Collee, and Marion Hume.
The account is derived from “The Lives of Lee Miller” by Antony Penrose, who was the 76-year-old son of Lee Miller and Sir Roland Penrose. (Paraphrased)
Lee died in 1977 in East Sussex at the age of 70.

According to Kate, Lee was a strong-willed individual who chose to live life according to her own rules, but this decision came at a great emotional cost for her.
‘I wanted to tell the story of a flawed middle-aged woman who went to war and documented it.’
In a different time, Antony expressed his admiration for Kate from the movie Titanic: What captivated him was her fearlessness – her willingness to get soaked, to get muddy, to dive into the water, to endure rough treatment.
‘I thought she would make a fantastic Lee Miller.’
