Kate Upton seemed to be looking for the public to weigh in on a troubling scenario.
On Friday, the individual, aged 32, known for unintentionally falling in love with MLB player Justin Verlander, posted an anonymous account on her Instagram Stories, inviting her followers to share what actions they might take in a similar situation.
‘Truly asking… lawyers/judges/advocates/law enforcement/parents:’ she began her missive.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue star then began to describe a dangerous situation.
‘A father who has just completed rehab is traveling with his 10-year-old daughter. He becomes intoxicated from alcohol and medication, claims to have a firearm on him, and menaces the taxi driver, saying he will FIRE if they don’t abandon them on the highway at midnight, leaving them to walk home.’ – Upton penned down.
She added: ‘Fortunately, the taxi driver declined and chose to risk being fired instead of leaving the young girl on the highway.’
Later, Upton posed a question to her audience: ‘Is this situation critical or a crime? Does it scare you enough that you would worry about your child?’
It’s unclear where the story came from, or who may have relayed it to the Sweet Dreams actress.
On Hulu’s show “Dress My Tour,” Upton is widely recognized as an internationally sought-after model.
She’s generally avoided getting embroiled in controversies since the criticism she faced due to her partnership with Canada Goose in 2019.
The company was accused of animal cruelty for using real coyote fur and goose feathers for its products, and Upton was singled out by animal rights activists.
The Sports Illustrated cover model has been married to Justin Verlander since 2017.
The couple met in 2012 and got engaged four years later.
They tied the knot just a few days after the pitcher led the Astros to a World Series victory.
The pair are the parents of six-year-old daughter Genevieve ‘Vivi’ Upton Verlander.
