Kate Siegel and David Dastmalchian are set to star in new zombie film Epilogue
As a seasoned gamer and horror enthusiast, I’ve seen my fair share of zombie apocalypses, but the upcoming movie “Epilogue” starring Kate Siegel and David Dastmalchian has me intrigued and excited! With Mike Flanagan on board as a producer, I have high hopes that this film will deliver a chilling narrative.
Fans of horror movies have an exciting prospect on the horizon: Actors Kate Siegel (“Hush”) and David Dastmalchian (“Late Night with the Devil”) will be teaming up for the upcoming zombie film “Epilogue.” Notably, this project is being overseen by renowned horror producer Mike Flanagan. Here’s what we know about the movie so far.
In terms of a rephrased version, here it goes: Michael Fimognari has been announced as the director for the upcoming action-horror film titled Epilogue. Notably, Fimognari’s past works include directing episodes for Netflix’s horror series The Midnight Club and The Fall of the House of Usher. The screenplay for this movie is a collaborative effort between Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason.
The story unfolds a year following what seems to be the end of the zombie outbreak, focusing on a despondent pair in search of a cure for their afflicted daughter. At this point, it’s unclear which characters Siegel and Dastmalchian will portray in the film, but we suspect they’ll play the couple. We’ll update you as soon as we learn more about their specific roles. Currently, they are the only actors to have been confirmed for the project.
Courtney Petrakis Flanagan and Brittney McDade are working on this film for Red Room Pictures, while Todd Garner is handling production for Broken Road Productions. As Deadline has announced, the film titled “The Coven” will begin sales at the American Film Market (AFM) next week.
Sigel is recognized in the realm of horror, having appeared in numerous horror productions throughout her acting journey. Her acting credits encompass roles in the horror films such as “Hush,” “Oculus,” “Ouija: Origin of Evil” and “Gerald’s Game.” She has also graced the screens of horror television series, including “The Haunting of Hill House,” “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” “Midnight Mass,” and “The Fall of the House of Usher,” all of which were produced by her husband, filmmaker Mike Flanagan.
I’m a big fan, and I can’t help but acknowledge the chilling performances of Dastmalchian, particularly in the supernatural horror film “Late Night with the Devil.” He’s also made quite an impression on me in movies like “Prisoners,” “The Suicide Squad,” “Boston Strangler,” “The Boogeyman,” “Oppenheimer,” “The Last Voyage of the Demeter,” and “Afraid.” One of his latest ventures, which I’m eagerly anticipating, is starring in the sci-fi drama “The Life of Chuck,” scheduled for release by Neon in the U.S. in 2025.
