For a special event, the 46-year-old radio personality teamed up with the squad at Buckle Reserve in Menai, located in southern Sydney, through a partnership with her radio station Nova FM, participating in just one game.

In the heat of the game, I poured every ounce of my energy and spirit into the match, darting across the field to back up my teammates at every turn.

The actress from Home and Away participated enthusiastically in the match day activities, as she was spotted grinning and chuckling throughout the game versus Grays Point Soccer Club.

In the Menai Hawks’ black-and-yellow soccer uniform, Kate looked athletic and stylish; she accessorized her look with eye-catching red sneakers.

In the heat of the game, I poured my heart and soul into every move, and as it turns out, I managed to score a goal, according to an Instagram follower who witnessed the action firsthand.

In the days leading up to the match, her popular Nova radio program, Fitzy & Wippa featuring Kate Ritchie, posted a variety of videos on Instagram, encouraging fans to attend the event.

Nova supports the Menai Hawks soccer team, and their logo is displayed on the players’ uniforms as part of a promotional campaign for the television station and the team, with Kate playing an active role in this initiative.

Prior to the game, Kate trained with Andrew Redmayne, Sydney FC’s goalkeeper, and a funny training session video was posted on Instagram.

In the video, you can observe Kate playing multiple roles, acting as both the goalkeeper and forward, as she honed her abilities on the field alongside a renowned soccer player during training.

In the game between Kate and Andrew, it became clear that Kate had an innate talent for the sport as she successfully blocked shots aimed at her by Andrew, who later admitted he had purposely been going easy on her.

The presenter also joked that watching her young daughter Mae, 10, play soccer had helped her train for her debut on the pitch. 

Kate is co-parenting Mae with her former NRL husband Stuart Webb, whom she parted ways with in 2019 following nearly a decade of marriage.

Earlier this month, the former partners got together to commemorate their daughter Mae’s 10th birthday. They all went out for a shared breakfast.

On Mae’s special day, everyone seemed cheerful and lively, gathering around her like bees to a honey pot, with Kate noticeably carrying bundles of presents meant for her dear child.

Previous week, Kate was part of a multitude of Australian celebrities at the 2024 TV Week Logie Awards held elsewhere.

On the grand Australian televised event, I proudly displayed my stunning physique in an awe-inspiring blush tulle dress, featuring a tightly laced corset top.
