Kate Moss’ next career move revealed as she lands new presenting role

The upcoming career step for Kate Moss is unveiled as she will be taking up a fresh hosting position at BBC Radio 6, where she will present a series dedicated to the late musician David Bowie.

The 51-year-old individual will be the host of an eight-episode podcast titled “David Bowie: Changeling,” delving into David Bowie’s artistic transformation spanning the years 1970 to 1975.

The program will highlight unique and previously unreleased interview clips from the artist behind “Under Pressure,” who passed away due to liver cancer at the age of 69 in 2016.

The program will also include fresh interviews from individuals who were acquainted with and inspired by the performer, such as Boy George, Chrissie Hynde, Dave Gahan, Edward Enninful, Elton John, Goldie, Iggy Pop, Harris Reed, Robbie Williams, and Twiggy.

Regarding her latest project, Kate made the following statement about David Bowie: “He was not just a dear friend, but an enigma – truly one-of-a-kind.

Upon learning about the opportunity to delve into a remarkable five-year period in David Bowie’s life for 6 Music and BBC Sounds, getting insights from people who were part of his creative voyage and those he influenced, I felt thrilled to contribute to telling the tale of this extraordinary metamorphosis.

‘This podcast is a real celebration of my friend, a true British icon.’

In the podcast, you’ll find an exceptional interview with Des Shaw, the creator of the show, which was conducted back in 2001. Moreover, we’ve uncovered some previously hidden audio clips from the BBC Archive that will also be included.

Fans will get a chance to listen to archived conversations featuring artists such as Lady Gaga, Sinéad O’Connor, Lou Reed, and Tracey Emin.

In addition to depicting various episodes of the series, we will delve into Bowie’s initial gigs with The Hype, his intrigue towards artist Andy Warhol, and the genesis of “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars.”

In this revised version, I attempted to make the sentence more engaging by using active voice and simplifying some terms (such as “explore” instead of “depicting various episodes”) while retaining the original meaning.

The legacy of David’s iconic Ziggy Stardust persona will also be looked at.

Kate and David were close friends for around a decade before his sad death.

In 2016, the year he passed away, it was disclosed that David often joked about Kate’s inability to fit into his clothes.

In a conversation with BBC Radio 6 Music, she confessed that the deceased music legend was so thin that she herself was unable to wear his clothing.

The trend-setting individual, known for collaborating with the legendary Ziggy Stardust and receiving a BRIT award from him while dressed in his signature style back in 2014, confessed that fitting into his clothing was quite snug.

Asked if the claims were true, Kate was quick to quip: ‘Yeah, it didn’t fit me!

When she met him later on, he commented playfully, “It seems the clothes didn’t fit me.” Laughing, she added, “And here I am reminding you!”

After running into him again, he joked about the ill-fitting clothes. She humorously retorted, “Rubbing it in, aren’t you?”

The focus is on maintaining the original meaning and tone of the conversation while making it more easily readable for a broader audience.

Despite certain limitations, she had options for what to wear. Notably, on a special occasion, she embodied the spirit of David Bowie by adopting one of his iconic styles when she received the award for Best British Male at the BRIT Awards in 2014.

He first wore the leotard-style outfit during his performance at London’s Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park on August 19, 1972.
