Kate Moss dances the night away alongside Madonna as the pair party up a storm for the exclusive reopening of Chiltern Firehouse to kick off London Fashion Week

Kate Moss and Madonna were among the many celebrities at a lively party held at London’s Chiltern Firehouse on Thursday night, marking the start of London Fashion Week.

Photographer Mert Alas and Seventy One Gin celebrated the reopening of the luxurious five-star hotel with a special event. It was the first major gathering held there since a fire caused damage and led to a temporary closure.

The famous duo celebrated the reopening of the Firehouse, which had been closed after a fire on Valentine’s Day but was opened just for this event.

Fifty-one-year-old Kate looked stylish and elegant in a classic little black dress. She completed the look with sheer tights, heels, and a fashionable black hat as she sat at a VIP table.

The supermodel seemed happy and energetic, spending the night talking with 67-year-old Madonna and dancing.

Madonna looked chic in a blue striped shirt paired with dark denim jeans and a coordinating jacket.

She completed her outfit with black-framed glasses and spent the night dancing with her close friend, Mert. He had earlier made her a special gin cocktail at their VIP table using Seventy One Gin.

The famous duo were joined by many other celebrities, such as Jordan Barrett, Mert Alas, James Yates, and Honey Dijon.

As well as Rosie Campion, Tasso Ferreira, Tish Weinstock and Charlotte Tilbury.

During London Fashion Week, the Chiltern Firehouse is temporarily opening its lobby to close friends and family. The hotel and restaurant are still being renovated, but this offers a small preview during the event.

André Balazs, the owner, shared that the amount of love and nostalgia for Chiltern Firehouse has been incredible.

‘We’re extremely grateful for the loyalty and enthusiasm of both our guests and staff.’

Model James turned heads in a sharp beige suit, striking a pose for the camera with his drink.

DJ Honey turned heads in a striking black lace top while confidently showing off a bottle of Seventy One Gin.

Guest Rosie brought the party vibes as she hit the dance floor, taking shots from the bottle.

Vogue beauty editor Tish Weinstock looked glamorous in a stylish off-the-shoulder top with ripped details, and posed playfully with the host, Mert.

Oh my gosh, Charlotte Tilbury was *there*! I nearly died! She looked absolutely radiant while posing with Tasso Ferreira, one of the founders of Seventy One Gin – they were both beaming, it was so cute! I’ve been following Charlotte for years, and seeing her support a brand like Seventy One Gin just makes me love her even more!

It was a truly unforgettable night as people gathered to celebrate the reopening of London’s legendary late-night venue – the place where the famous 71 Golden Martini was first created.

Kate’s big night out came after she landed a new job.

The podcast series, David Bowie: Changeling, delves into the artistic development of David Bowie from 1970 to 1975. It’s comprised of eight episodes.

The show includes previously unseen and unheard interviews with the singer of ‘Under Pressure,’ who sadly passed away from liver cancer in 2016 at the age of 69.

The film includes fresh interviews with people who admired and were influenced by the artist, such as Boy George, Chrissie Hynde, Dave Gahan, Edward Enninful, Elton John, Goldie, Iggy Pop, Harris Reed, Robbie Williams, and Twiggy.

Kate recently shared that David Bowie was incredibly special to her. She described him as more than just a friend, calling him a true mystery.

I was thrilled to work on this project for 6 Music and BBC Sounds, exploring a remarkable five-year period in David Bowie’s life. It was amazing to hear from the people who collaborated with him and those he continues to influence, and to share his incredible story of change.

‘This podcast is a real celebration of my friend, a true British icon.’

This podcast includes a special interview with its creator, Des Shaw, recorded back in 2001, as well as newly discovered audio from the BBC’s archives.

The collection also featured archived conversations with notable figures like Lady Gaga, Sinéad O’Connor, Lou Reed, and Tracey Emin.

The show delved into David Bowie’s beginnings, including his early gigs with The Hype, his admiration for Andy Warhol, and how he developed the iconic album and stage persona of Ziggy Stardust with The Spiders From Mars.

Kate and David were close friends for around a decade before his sad death.

Kate shared that her father, David, playfully teased her for being unable to fit into his clothes, recalling this memory from 2016, the year he died.

In an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music, she revealed that the legendary musician was incredibly thin, to the point where she couldn’t even wear his clothes.

The popular fashion icon, who has worked with and even accepted a BRIT Award for David Bowie while dressed as his famous character in 2014, confessed that wearing Bowie’s outfits was a very snug fit.

Asked if the claims were true, Kate was quick to quip: ‘Yeah, it didn’t fit me!

She playfully recounted that when she next saw him, he said, “I heard the clothes didn’t fit,” which she found was just him teasing her about it.

Despite limited options, she had some outfits she could wear. Most famously, the singer from Croydon paid tribute to David Bowie by recreating one of his iconic looks when she won the award for Best British Male at the BRITS in 2014.

He first wore the one-piece suit on stage at the Rainbow Theatre in London on August 19, 1972.
