Kate Moss, 51, stuns in a leopard print silk romper before changing into a chainmail dress as she celebrates Donatella Versace’s final collection
On Thursday, Kate Moss stood together with 25 other models to honor the launch of Donatella Versace’s last collection, marking her impending departure from the fashion brand.
51-year-old model captivated the audience firstly in a chic leopard print silk romper, then later donned a legendary gold chainmail gown.
She paired an animal-patterned dress with black, non-transparent stockings and leather gloves without full coverage on the hands.
Kate accessorized her second glance with a chic cowl-neck chainmail midi dress featuring a high split on the thigh, complemented by eye-catching embellished strappy heels.
During the campaign, both Claudia Schiffer and Amber Valletta were present, sporting Donatella’s distinctive metallic gowns.
In reference to the photoshoot she posted on Instagram, Donatella commented: ‘The atmosphere was simply incredible. The gowns seemed to capture the radiant light emanating from these fantastic women.’

She stated: ‘Friendship, devotion, and affection were at the heart of it, designed to honor the spirit of the Versace woman.’
‘Each gathering tells a tale, and the tale we’re discussing here is that of Versace – a narrative that influences the now and gazes towards the future.’
In March, the influential fashion designer from Italy relinquished her role as creative director, a position she had occupied since her brother Gianni’s passing in 1997. This role has now been taken over by Dario Vitale, seven years after Capri Holdings acquired Versace.
It was shared on their Instagram that she would be leaving, with the news that beginning in April, Donatella (known for her vibrant persona) will take over as the main representative for the brand’s image instead – a position considered less executive by some fashion analysts.
In her fresh position, she will devote time to assisting Versace with its humanitarian and charity initiatives, while continuing to promote the brand on a worldwide scale.
Regarding her departure, Donatella mentioned that nurturing upcoming designers has always held great significance for her.
It has been the most profound privilege of mine to continue my brother Gianni’s enduring legacy. While he was the undeniable genius, I aspire to embody some of his essence and determination.
It seems that Donatella and Capri have faced significant challenges in their relationship for quite a while, even though Donatella is widely recognized as the one who rescued the brand due to her ability to draw high-profile celebrities to don her designs and share their experiences on social media platforms like Instagram.

Over the past year, stars such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Anne Hathaway, and Lady Gaga have all been spotted in these designs.
I’m fortunate to be associated with a diverse group of rising stars such as Lil Nas X, Taylor, and Miley Cyrus, as well as the dynamic K-Pop sensations. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Hollywood legends like Angelina Jolie, Sir Elton John, and Cher – individuals who continue to inspire me in their respective fields.
In addition, she was responsible for creating the renowned green Versace silken chiffon gown that Jennifer Lopez donned at the 42nd Grammy Awards on February 23, 2000. She once more wore this iconic dress in 2019.
Among all fashion designers worldwide, Donatella boasts the highest number of followers on social media, exceeding 12 million.
The fashion expert informed the Mail, “Versace is in a significant predicament without her. We’re now confronted with the question: Who will don the Versace label if it lacks her designs and connections to influential personalities?
She’s made an enormous cultural mark on the fashion industry, to the point where designs she originally created are experiencing a revival, such as Jennifer Lopez’s iconic green dress.
Donatella has consistently nurtured talent within Versace, from inviting icons like Madonna, Whitney, and others during the Gianni era to her ongoing efforts today. She stands as a significant influence on pop culture. How many women, in fact, have grown a company to be valued at an impressive $2.1 billion?
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can confidently affirm that Gianni was undeniably a creative genius. Yet, it’s equally undeniable that Donatella has masterfully continued the Versace legacy in the wake of her brother’s departure.
