Kate Lawler soaks up the sun during childfree trip to Ibiza and says she’s had one of the best weekends of her life – after admitting she spends £1k a day on holiday

Kate Lawler said she had an incredible weekend in Ibiza, celebrating with her husband. She described it as one of the best weekends of her life.

The 45-year-old Big Brother star traveled to what she called ‘the most magical island in the world’ to celebrate a friend’s 50th birthday, and her husband, Martin Bojtos, joined her.

Kate shared that having a fun night out felt especially good with five-year-old Noa at home. She even admitted to momentarily forgetting she was a mom and dad while dancing.

Kate and her husband were spotted having fun in Ibiza, as seen in a video posted to Instagram. They spent their time enjoying nights out at clubs, fancy dinners, and relaxing by the pool with friends.

I’ve been noticing all the gorgeous vacation photos of this TV and radio personality! She’s looking incredible, showing off her tan in some really fun, sparkly outfits – think crop tops and bikinis. And it’s so sweet to see her all cozy with her husband, who she lovingly calls ‘The Handsome.’ It just radiates happiness!

She excitedly shared that she and her partner had a fantastic weekend trip to Ibiza for a friend’s birthday. She was especially happy to have been able to get away so quickly after the summer break, calling it one of the best weekends of her life – just the two of them.

It had been six years since I last danced with my husband at a club, and I didn’t realize how much I’d been missing those nights until I returned home and reminisced about our time together on a truly beautiful island.

It was incredibly freeing to just relax and have fun – even if just for a little while – and for a few moments on the dance floor, we didn’t feel like ‘Mum and Dad’ at all. We weren’t thinking about all the usual grown-up stuff like chores, our daughter’s school, or even the dogs’ vitamins. It was a welcome break from our responsibilities.

I’m incredibly happy to be back home! I’m really looking forward to being with my kids, doing everyday things like school drop-offs, walking the dog in the rain, and getting back to work.

Parenting is challenging, so it’s vital for couples to schedule dedicated time together – whether it’s a regular date night, a weekend getaway, or simply some time alone – to reconnect and remember what brought them together.

Kate recently vacationed in Ibiza after revealing she sometimes spends up to £1,000 each day during her yearly family trips.

Oh my gosh, she *finally* talked about how much their amazing family road trips cost! She said they actually calculated it last night, and it’s around £1,000 a day! Can you believe it? That covers everything – gas, treats for the dogs, places to stay, everything! But honestly, even if it cost more, she said it’s totally worth it because they make memories that last forever. I’m so jealous! It just sounds like the perfect life!

The TV star became well-known after winning the third season of Big Brother in 2002, earning her a prize of £70,000.

Despite achieving great success, the star has shared that it wasn’t all easy. After quickly gaining many career opportunities, she unexpectedly faced a large tax bill.

Kate revealed she received an £80,000 tax bill a couple of years after being on the show, and it took her around two years to pay it off.

Even though she’s much more financially stable now, with her husband’s help in saving, she admits she still constantly worries about money.

It’s so weird, right? I mean, logically I *should* be feeling secure, like I’m finally getting my finances together. But honestly? I still stress about money constantly. It’s like this nagging feeling that things could fall apart at any moment, even when everything *looks* okay. It’s exhausting, but I just can’t shake it!

Looking back on her financial struggles, she explained to The Times that she used to have no money left over after bills. Everything she earned went towards paying off taxes and credit card debt, and her savings were all invested in her apartment. She’s now concerned about falling back into that situation and admits she constantly worries about it.

After facing financial difficulties, Kate has canceled her credit cards and is now planning to use the value of her home to support herself going forward.

The actress acknowledged she doesn’t currently have a retirement plan, but expressed her desire for one, hoping her husband’s pension will provide support when they retire.

Following her win on Big Brother, Kate started working as a DJ at Capital FM. This eventually led to her hosting the short-lived Channel 4 breakfast show, RI:SE, from February to December 2003. She also left her position at Capital FM that same year.

She’s now a frequent guest on popular TV shows like This Morning and Loose Women. In 2022, her book, *Maybe Baby: On the Mother Side*, became a national bestseller, appearing on the Sunday Times bestseller list.
