Listeners of BBC Radio 2 seemed to share similar sentiments during Kate Hudson’s debut live performance on Vernon Kay’s Piano Room show, which took place on a Thursday morning.
Last year’s Grammy-winning actress, now 45, showcased her vocal talents, performing alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra for her debut album, “Glorious.
1. Kate sang a timeless hit titled “Talk About Love”, introduced a fresh tune called “Right On Time”, and also covered Ariana Grande’s “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)”.
2. In her performance, Kate played the classic track “Talk About Love”, debuted the new song “Right On Time”, and did a cover of Ariana Grande’s “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)”.
3. During her setlist, Kate performed “Talk About Love”, unveiled “Right On Time”, and covered “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)” by Ariana Grande.
4. In the course of her show, Kate sang “Talk About Love” (a classic), presented “Right On Time” (a new one), and did a cover on “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)” from Ariana Grande.
5. Kate played a well-known favorite, “Talk About Love”, showcased her latest creation “Right On Time”, and performed a rendition of “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)” by Ariana Grande in her performance.
During the broadcast of the show that took place at the BBC Maida Vale studios, Kate openly acknowledged feeling both “nervous” and “thrilled” as she prepared to perform live.
She expressed: “I’m thrilled, a bit anxious too, as it’s my inaugural live performance! Frankly, I’m simply grateful to be here. Singing is something I adore, and the same goes for writing lyrics. Performing in front of people has been an incredibly unique experience for me.
After the shows concluded, audience members flocked to social networking platforms to express their astonishment at the Bride Wars actress’s exceptional vocal abilities, which they described as extraordinary or breathtaking.

It’s fair to say that I had high expectations, but I was genuinely astounded by her exceptional performance. One might assume she had been part of the orchestra for a long time based on her skills.
Although she’s not typically a seasonal singer, I believe Kate outperformed all the previous singers we’ve had this month.
This morning’s discovery of the piano room was quite unexpected and delightful! I must say, finding out that @katehudson has musical skills too took me by surprise; I hadn’t anticipated it at all.
“Wow, this is the most stunning piano room I’ve seen yet, and what a remarkable talent! I truly hope she embarks on a tour; Listening to her was simply amazing, I couldn’t get enough.”
This version aims to keep the original sentiment while using more common and natural phrasing.
Kate, known for her roles in movies such as How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Glass Onion, has revealed that she’s currently faced with a decision point regarding her career path – acting or singing. However, instead of dwelling too much on the decision, she expressed her desire to embark on a tour.
She expressed: “I won’t dwell too much on it. Instead, I simply adore it. In essence, I find myself yearning to continue singing, and I truly hope to embark on a tour someday, if that opportunity arises.
What I’m aiming for is to continuously create music and films. Ideally, I’d love to combine these passions at some point in the future. That’s my next objective.
Although Kate is a renowned actress who has received awards, her initial passion lay in music, as she had always been a dedicated fan of musical theater.

She mentioned: ‘Absolutely, it’s important to note that my passion for performing began with musicals. For me, it’s all about musical theater.’
In another part of this conversation, Kate mentioned that her album “Glorious” draws inspiration from her relationships, both successful and unsuccessful, as well as her children.
She explained that she typically only wrote for her own enjoyment whenever she felt inclined. However, when there were deadlines, she found herself needing to write the song immediately, opening up and allowing whatever feelings came to her to flow out.
The first album encompassed various expressions of love – from the love I have for my children to the love in my relationships and even the love lost in broken relationships. Essentially, it transformed into a vast, heartfelt missive about love.
I aimed to share something sincere, hoping it would resonate with others, and honestly, I enjoy writing as much as I cherish a writing prompt. To clarify, this wasn’t forced; I simply felt compelled to create it, and I eagerly look forward to doing so again.
