Kate Hudson sizzles in plunging all-black outfit and sexy leather gloves as she brings her son, 22, to TIME100 Gala

Kate Hudson turned heads at the TIME100 Gala in New York City on Thursday, joining other famous faces at the event.

The 47-year-old Oscar nominee will be featured in the 2026 edition of the magazine, recognized as one of the year’s most influential figures.

She’s featured in the ‘Icons’ section, alongside notable figures like Olympic skater Alysa Liu and businesswoman Victoria Beckham.

Hudson attended with her 22-year-old son, Ryder Robinson, who looked sharp in a black suit and striped tie.

She shares Ryder with her ex-husband and The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, 59. 

For the soiree, Hudson modeled a plunging black top with cape-like sleeves and a sexy pencil skirt.

She amped up her red carpet look with leather gloves, semi-sheer tights and stiletto heels. 

As for her glam, Hudson rocked smoky black eyeshadow and a glossy nude lip. 

Her blonde hair was swept up in an elegant bun with a single strand left out to frame her face.

Hudson accessorized with yellow gold earrings that matched the ornate gold cuff on her right wrist. 

The glamorous event took place at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and was hosted by reality TV personality Maura Higgins and actor Terrence J.

As a TIME100 honoree, Hudson was featured in the magazine with a tribute written by her friend and the creator of Running Point, Mindy Kaling.

Kaling revealed just how their ‘Hollywood friendship’ got started: at an Oscars party.

She remembered feeling overlooked at the party when a well-known individual – whom Kaling didn’t identify – rudely pushed ahead of them while they were waiting to have their portraits taken.

Kaling remembered sharing a surprised glance with Kate, immediately thinking she’d like to be friends with her.

I’ve always been inspired by my friendships, and my connection with Kate Hudson actually sparked the idea for ‘Running Point,’ the sports comedy we created for Netflix. She’s fantastic and really brings the lead role to life!

Collaborating with her on the Running Point project deepened my respect for her. I’d always known she was humorous, but I discovered her comedic timing stems from her genuine humility, she wrote.

Mindy Kaling praised Kate Hudson as a remarkably talented dramatic actress, also noting her impressive singing ability.

She ended the piece by complimenting her friend on her continuous growth and openness to new experiences.

You know, what I always admire about Kate is her ability to redefine ‘cool.’ She doesn’t just be the most stylish or interesting person in a room – she makes it look easy, and then constantly evolves her style and personality, keeping everyone intrigued. It’s like she’s always a step ahead, and that’s really inspiring!

She’s not fixed in one identity. She’s always evolving, experimenting, and showing everyone how rewarding it is to follow your gut and pursue what excites you.

Hudson was announced as a TIME100 honoree on April 15.

She reacted to the news via Instagram, calling it ‘so exciting’ and ‘an honor.’

Hudson is currently promoting the second season of Running Point, which became available on Netflix last Thursday, April 23rd.

The show premiered on the streaming service last year and features a cast including Kate Hudson, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, Chet Hanks, and Justin Theroux.

According to IMDB, the story centers around Isla Gordon (Hudson), who unexpectedly becomes president of her family’s basketball team, the LA Waves, after her brother goes to rehab. She’s determined to prove she’s capable, even though many doubt her.
