I was completely captivated by Kate Hudson last night at the Paris premiere of ‘Song Sung Blue’ (or ‘Sur un Air de Blues’ as it’s known there)! She really stole the show when she arrived with Hugh Jackman at Le Grand Rex – everyone was focused on her. It was a stunning entrance!

The 46-year-old actress showed off her fit physique in a light pink satin dress. The dress featured a structured, corset-like top and a low-cut neckline that revealed her black bra.

The actress from Almost Famous wore classic black heels to add height and styled her blonde hair in a sleek updo, showing off her sparkling diamond earrings.

Kate beamed at the cameras, then playfully snuggled up to her co-star, Hugh, 57, who portrays her husband in the movie.

The actor from The Greatest Showman looked stylish and handsome in a classic outfit: a well-fitted black suit paired with a simple white t-shirt.

The film’s two main actors were accompanied by Craig Brewer, who directed, wrote, and produced the movie. He looked sharp in a suit paired with a purple shirt and a patterned tie.

Song Sung Blue is a true story, inspired by the 2008 documentary of the same name, about a married couple who became local celebrities by starting a tribute band dedicated to the music of Neil Diamond.

This musical drama tells the story of Mike Sardina, a musician from Milwaukee who’s fallen on hard times. Played by Hugh, he joins forces with Claire (played by Kate), another musician struggling to make it, and together they create a duo called Lightning & Thunder, performing as a tribute to Neil Diamond.

The film tells the story of a couple of performers from Milwaukee who fall in love and achieve their dreams on stage. Along the way, they overcome challenges, including difficult experiences from Mike’s past and a serious accident that befalls Claire, all set to the music of Neil Diamond.

Claire was famous for her spot-on impersonation of country legend Patsy Cline, and her husband Mike delighted audiences with his performances as Neil Diamond.

You know, I’ve met a lot of musicians over the years, and it’s funny how success can look different for everyone. This particular pair never became household names, but they had a really cool experience early on – they actually opened for Pearl Jam! It was a big moment for them, even if it didn’t launch them to superstardom.

The film co-stars The Sopranos star Michael Imperioli, Jim Belushi and Succession’s Fisher Stevens and is named after Neilsingle Song Sung Blue which topped the charts in 1972.

Kate and Hugh were guests on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, where they discussed their roles as Mike and Claire in the film. They also shared that their co-star, Neil, was moved to tears after seeing it.

Hugh said that while viewers might think the movie is over-the-top for Hollywood, everything depicted is actually true. He described it as an incredible story about an unbelievable experience.

He continued, explaining that Neil called him in tears after watching the movie, deeply affected by it. He went to see Neil and ended up staying overnight.

Dinner was really fun when he suggested we do karaoke! We sang a few songs, including ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ from Les Misérables, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love,’ and ‘Sweet Caroline.’ It was a fantastic time.

Kate shared that her parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, were deeply moved to tears after seeing the movie. She described them as being ‘a mess,’ and explained that she and her husband, Hugh, had a similar reaction when they first watched it, which is unusual for them. Kate emphasized that the film is a powerfully emotional love story.

I grew up close to where Neil lives, but we’d never actually met. So, I asked if I could come over and visit.

The meeting was really touching. He’s a big fan of both Mike and Claire, and he truly enjoyed the movie. I was surprised by how thankful he was.

Hugh was full of praise for his co-star, saying Kate exceeded all of his expectations. He was incredibly impressed with her performance.
