On a Friday evening in Santa Monica, California, Kate Hudson graced the 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards at Barker Hangar amidst all the dazzle and opulence.

Notably, the esteemed actress initiated the event by jointly handing out the first award of the night with her sister-in-law, Meredith Hagner.

In simpler terms, Two notable stars handed over the honor for Best Acting Ensemble to the group called Conclave. This award was then graciously received by the prominent actor, Ralph Fiennes.

Hudson was astonished as she slipped into a sleek, black silk gown, its shoulder-less design accentuating her slender silhouette. Below the waist, the skirt flared outward in a graceful bell shape.

Hagner, being the spouse of Wyatt Russell (Hudson’s half-brother), maintained an equally chic and trendy appearance in a striking white, plunge gown.

45-year-old actress from Almost Famous chose a streamlined hairstyle for her blonde hair, gathering it away from her face, extending past her ears, and featuring a central parting.

Before the yearly event, Conclave and Wicked took the front runner position with a total of 11 nominations. Among these, they received a Best Picture nomination for the movie directed by Edward Berger and written by Peter Straughan. This film was adapted from the 2016 novel by Robert Harris, which served as the basis for its screenplay.

The story revolves around the character played by Fiennes, Cardinal Lawrence, who is entrusted with overseeing one of the world’s most clandestine and time-honored rituals – choosing a new Pope. However, he unexpectedly finds himself in the heart of a plot that could potentially rock the Catholic Church to its core.

In the same category, Fiennes received a Best Actor nomination alongside Adrien Brody, who was in The Brutalist, Timothée Chalamet from A Complete Unknown, Daniel Craig for his role in Queer, Colman Domingo from Sing Sing, and Hugh Grant of Heretic.

Chelsea Handler is hosting the annual event that is being broadcast on E!. 

49-year-old comedian began the event with a somber tone, discussing the tragic Los Angeles wildfires, and expressing gratitude towards the courageous actions of all emergency personnel, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The former host of Chelsea Lately stated that what we witnessed and the extent of the damage was nearly unimaginable.
