Kate Gosselin’s son gives heartbreaking update on his broken family as he works as a waiter to pay for college

On Tuesday, Collin Gosselin, formerly known from the show “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” shared a poignant update about his strained relationships with six out of his seven siblings.

In a TikTok Live session, the ex-child star, now 21, disclosed that he no longer communicates with his siblings, according to People.)

It would be great if we could get to know each other better, as right now, they are unaware of my true identity.

Collin expressed his wish for his siblings Aaden (age 21), Alexis, Joel, Leah, twins Madelyn and Cara (both 24) to view his account, where he creates videos and keeps a journal-like diary. He hopes they will be able to see the videos he has made.

In 2018, Gosselin’s father, Jon, was awarded sole custody of him, while Hannah, who is now 21, was given full custody by him back in 2016. Occasionally, they continue to communicate.

He mentioned that he had messaged her recently, as a matter of fact, and she is currently pursuing her studies at the University of Miami,” the residential advisor with a following of 102K on social media added.

Hannah is constantly living life to the fullest, always enjoying herself and keeping busy. Since she’s always on the go, we manage to stay in touch whenever we get the chance.

Colin, who boasted about working on a book, is surprisingly funding his education by waiting tables at Damon’s and has recently established his own company, Gosslin Pressure Washing.

According to Gosselin, during the run of Jon & Kate Plus 8 on TLC from 2007 to 2010, he and his siblings were allegedly separated against their will and made to compete with one another.

Despite having all the renown and wealth, one might still ponder over children simply enjoying their childhood.” (Pennsylvania native’s statement on TikTok)

No matter what, my affection for them surpasses everything else. It’s the hidden tears that fall when I reminisce about all the moments we never had together. My deepest feelings are for you all.

In reaction to Collin’s recent assertion, his mother Kate, who is estranged from him, typed ‘He understands the reason’ during a live stream on TikTok on August 11th.

Gosselin alleges that a 50-year-old nurse, through her public disclosures about his past psychiatric issues and aggressive conduct, indirectly led to the termination of his aspiration to join the US Marines in 2023. This was due to her sharing these details a month prior to his dismissal from training, which involved concealing crucial information from his pre-enlistment history.

In simple terms, Kate admitted the six children she homeschooled into the Fairmount Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia for a period of about 22 months between 2016 and 2018. The reason given was that they were allegedly suffering from conditions like bipolar disorder, autism, OCD, ADHD, ODD, and PTSD. However, after evaluating them, Marine Dr. Paul E. Delfin expressed doubts about the accuracy of these diagnoses.

Richard Puleo, Gosselin’s attorney, stated that it’s unlikely the Marine Corps directly connected Kate’s post to the decision to dismiss Collin. However, he speculated that Kate’s post might have sparked their investigation into Collin’s background. He cautioned against placing blame for his discharge solely on his mother.

Last September, Collin shared details about the alleged physical abuse he experienced as a child by his mother, which he recounted to The US Sun. He described an incident where he went to school with a severely swollen, purple, and bruised ear. His teacher had asked him inquisitively about the condition of his ear.

At that point, I shared all the details with everyone. I informed my teacher, which led to Child and Youth Services being contacted shortly thereafter. When my mother learned about this, she removed me from school in the fourth grade.

According to Gosselin, Kate allegedly confined him in a basement room she constructed, an assertion that was backed by DJ Gosselin and his sister Hannah. They stated that this particular room existed and elaborated on their account: ‘She bound my hands and feet with zip-ties, locked the door, turned off the lights, and had cameras set up to monitor me.’

Following her contentious, ten-year divorce from Jon, which finalized in 2009, and obtaining primary custody of their eight kids, Kate began starring in six seasons of Kate Plus 8 – it was after this period that all the alleged abuse occurred.

It’s important to mention that, in 2020 when he was 16 years old, Collin claimed his father physically abused him by punching and kicking him. However, the District Attorney of Berks County stated that no charges or citations were brought forward following this alleged incident.

For the last five days, Kate, who appeared for just one episode on Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test in 2023 due to a neck injury, has been sharing proud TikTok Live sessions with her shy son Aaden and pasta-making daughter Leah.
