If Kate Gosselin, formerly from the show Kate Plus Eight, hadn’t sadly experienced the loss of one of her sextuplets during pregnancy in 2004, she would have been the mother of nine children.
A fifty-year-old pediatric nurse shared the story of her infertility, pregnancy, and childbirth experience across six separate TikTok videos that were published from August 19 up until this past Sunday.
In the fourth episode (which became popular after its release on last Wednesday), Kate reminisced about her and her former husband Jon Gosselin’s initial ultrasound, which was performed when they were six weeks pregnant.
‘There were seven babies,’ Gosselin (born Kreider) noted.
It seems they scheduled our return a week later, although it could have been within two weeks – I’m not entirely sure about the exact timing now – primarily to assess their progress. During this interval, unfortunately, the seventh infant stopped growing.
Several months passed, and the woman from Pennsylvania – with her golden hair – began bleeding, worrying that it might signal the onset of a miscarriage, fearing she was about to lose them all.

At a certain moment, she became unusually silent, and I couldn’t help but think, “This seems to be over,” and I felt incredibly frightened, Kate shared, reflecting on an instance that has 1M social media followers.
In an unexpected moment, the ultrasound technician remarked, “I count six,” to which I responded, “Count six of what?” She then clarified, “I’m seeing six heartbeats, they’re all present.
Gosselin went on to say: “From then on, my involvement deepened. I was determined to fight for them. I was ready to do whatever was necessary. It wasn’t that I didn’t care before, but the thought of potentially losing them made me realize just how much I already cherished them. This realization was quite extraordinary.
In the comments, the passionate celebrity responded to a fan by sharing that upon hearing the news of her child’s passing, she instinctively believed the deceased baby would have been a girl, and her chosen name for her would have been Emma.
Because she had Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Kate was only able to have her children through assisted reproductive techniques like fertility treatments and intrauterine insemination (IUI).
The children of Gosselin – Aaden (son), Alexis (daughter), Joel (son), Leah (daughter), and Hannah (formerly estranged daughter) – are currently 21 years old, with the majority pursuing their education at college.
On October 8th, the celebrity from North Carolina will mark the 25th birthday of her identical twins, Mady and Cara, who reside in New York City.
After completing their studies at Syracuse University and Fordham University respectively in 2023, Mady landed a job in sales at DECIEM, the Abnormal Beauty Company, while Cara began working as a leasing credit officer at Bank of America.
Kate is currently not in contact with her son Colin, due to accusations made against her concerning child abuse. According to Colin, she was responsible for hospitalizing him for a period of approximately two years between 2016 and 2018. Furthermore, in the year 2023, she damaged Colin’s aspiration of joining the US Marines by publicly sharing information about his mental health issues and reported violent behavior.
Last Saturday, the 21-year-old resident assistant of a college shared that he had been offered the chance to write his inaugural book.

‘Today was a very important part of that process!’ Collin announced via Instastory.
This morning, I enjoyed a fantastic conversation with some terrific friends, who have been part of my journey all along.
Once a prominent child actor, he’s now remarkably earning his college expenses by working as a server at the restaurant chain Damon’s. Additionally, he has started his own limited liability company, named Gosslin Pressure Washing.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but reminisce about those unforgettable years when Jon & Kate Plus 8 graced our TV screens on TLC, running strong for five glorious seasons from 2007 to 2010. Oh, the excitement was palpable! The show’s fifth season premiere alone managed to draw in an astounding 9.8 million viewers – a testament to its magnetic appeal!
Following the dissolution of Kate’s contentious 10-year marriage with the 48-year-old disc jockey in 2009, she launched and starred in her self-produced spin-off series titled ‘Kate Plus 8’, which ran from 2010 to 2017 over six seasons. An additional episode titled ‘College Bound’ was aired in 2019.
In 2023, Gosselin, currently employed as a nurse with regular 12-hour workdays, was unable to complete more than one episode on Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, owing to an injury in his neck.
Kate has been featured in Say Yes to the Dress (2008), shared hosting duties for four episodes of The View from 2009 to 2010, took part in Dancing with the Stars, Celebrity Wife Swap, The Apprentice, and authored three non-fiction books.
