Kate Garraway wraps up warm in a woolly jumper and leather trousers as she leaves Smooth radio
On Friday, Kate Garraway left Smooth Radio after putting on a cozy woolen sweater and a heavy parka coat.
57-year-old host of Good Morning Britain, beaming with energy, sported an unremovable grin on her face as she left for the day.
The reporter wore stylish, fitted brown trousers and matching boots, completing the look with a trendy beige puffer jacket.
Kate was holding a stack of newspapers, a takeout bag, and a burgundy leather tote bag tightly in her hands.
Previously this past December, the former television personality bravely held back tears while discussing her initial Christmas without her deceased spouse, Derek Draper.
Derek died aged 56 in January this year after a four-year battle with Covid.

For the very first time, it was Kate and her teenage kids, Darcey (aged 18) and Billy (15), who celebrated Christmas day in his absence this year.
In their conversation, Ranvir inquired about Kate’s feelings, to which she replied, “This is our first Christmas without him.
I recently conversed with Andi Peters, who sadly lost his mother. He cautioned me that this Christmas might prove especially challenging for him.
‘We’re lucky that I have family around me – my brother, distracting.
‘You do feel grief, that’s the point, you have memories of previous years.
‘We’re lucky enough to still have had him over the four or five years.’
Ranvir asked: ‘Was he very ill this time last year?’
‘Yes he was, he was in intensive care,’ Kate replied.

‘We were going into him in intensive care. Inside my head I did fear, this is a grim one.
‘The children, they were hopeful and he had many times. It’s a tough one this year.
If you’re going through a period of grief, you might find that certain traditional moments, filled with personal memories, can unexpectedly bring those memories back to the surface.
‘I’m thinking about everybody else that’s feeling it.’
Initially, the speaker mentioned that she likely wouldn’t partake in New Year celebrations, instead choosing to honor Derek by visiting his gravesite.
Many expressed their condolences on X, Kate, Darcey, and Billy, by writing messages like: “Stay well, Kate.

Another added: ‘Sending love to Kate & her family xx.’
‘Wishing you and your family the best Kate,’ a third chimed in.
In March 2020, when lockdown was at its peak, Derek, a political lobbyist, fought a prolonged battle against Covid-19.
That month, he had an emergency hospitalization, slipping into a coma in April. He regained consciousness six months after that.
By April 2021, he had returned home, yet required round-the-clock care. Unfortunately, in 2022, he found himself back in the hospital following a bout with sepsis. In the last month of that year, he endured a heart attack.
These ITV documentaries, such as Kate Garraway: Finding Derek, Kate Garraway: Caring For Derek, and Kate Garraway: Derek’s Story, have all featured stories about Derek.
Kate and Derek met back in 2004 and tied the knot a year later.
