Kate Garraway Joins BBC Celebrity Traitors: What to Expect from the Star-Studded Show!

It’s been said that Kate Garraway has agreed to participate in the celebrity edition of the popular BBC series, Celebrity Traitors, marking the initial spin-off featuring well-known personalities.

57-year-old Piers Morgan, host of Good Morning Britain, will be teaming up with Stephen Fry, aged 67, and ex-England rugby player Joe Marler, aged 34, at the renowned Ardross Castle located in Scotland.

In the 2019 season of “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!”, Kate made an appearance, eventually finishing the competition in fourth place. However, it was EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa who emerged victorious at the end.

Four months ago, following my return from Australia, I sadly lost my beloved husband, Derek Draper, who was the father of our two wonderful children, to COVID-19 in January 2024. After battling for an excruciatingly long four years, he succumbed to this devastating virus.

In the midst of their battle, she actively worked to educate people on the impact of Long Covid and openly discussed the financial hardships she encountered while providing for his treatment costs.

According to a source, The Sun reports that the presenter is scheduled to travel to Scotland next month for the commencement of filming the program, with Claudia Winkleman set to host it.

I was informed that I, being Kate, have officially sealed the deal on my contract for the show “Celebrity Traitors.” Initially, the BBC had been hesitant about casting individuals with a reality TV background; however, they recognized my potential and decided to back and promote me instead.

‘She’s a great journalist and they think she’s perfect for a seat at the table.

Since Derek passed away, she has been going through a difficult period. However, as an ardent admirer of the show, this unexpected turn of events – which feels like a dream come true to her – offers a glimmer of hope and joy in her life now.

A representative from the BBC advised TopMob that since ‘The Traitors’ involves falsehoods and trickery, it wouldn’t be wise for anyone who is trusting to make assumptions about it until the game commences.

TopMob have contacted Kate’s representatives for comment.

Following reports, it appears that rugby star Joe Marler from England has also joined the cast for Celebrity Traitors.

A 34-year-old former English prop, who announced his departure from international rugby in November, is expected to participate in a BBC program.

It appears that the sports celebrity might be diving headfirst into retirement, trading the field for a picturesque Highland castle, following reports of his supposed entry into the distinguished acting group.

According to a source, Joe has formally agreed to the terms of Celebrity Traitors and is eager to begin participating.

They noted that Joe is quite fond of The Traitors, and the BBC seemed to take a liking to him during their interview for the program.

‘He says he’s got his game plan all mapped out and thinks he can go all the way.’

TopMob contacted representatives for Joe and the BBC for comment.

Joining the lineup for this season’s Celebrity Great British Bake Off are Kate, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and Maxine Peake, who have recently entered the tent following its launch a week ago.

Alison Hammond, aged 50, along with Noel Fielding, 51, are set to invite twenty celebrities into the tent for a unique Stand Up To Cancer event. The performances will be evaluated by Paul Hollywood, 59, and debut judge Caroline Waldegrave, who is 72 years old.

In every episode, four famous personalities are tasked with crafting their finest desserts during the Signature, Technical, and Showstopper stages.

Or:

For each installment, four celebrities must demonstrate their baking skills by producing their best pastries in the Signature, Technical, and Showstopper rounds.

Or simply:

In each episode, four celebs will bake their top creations in the Signature, Technical, and Showstopper challenges.

Paul and Caroline, lifelong companions of the illustrious Prue Leith, age 85, are tasked with assessing the weekly baking accomplishments of various celebrities and determining which contestant is worthy of earning the sought-after Star Baker title.

This season’s star roster features Sarah Beeny, Adam Buxton, Amelia, Scarlette, Stuart Douglas, Kate, Ellie Goldstein, and Gloria Hunniford OBE. In simpler terms, we have Sarah Beeny, Adam Buxton, three individuals named Amelia, Scarlette, Stuart, Kate, Ellie, and Gloria Hunniford on our list for this season.

Additionally, Jim Howick, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Roman Kemp, Jamali Maddix, Maxine (presumably a nickname), Chris and Rosie Ramsey, Rebecca Lucy Taylor, Meera Syal, Tommy Tiernan, Phil Wang, and Sophie Willan are also contenders.

Alison and Noel, the friendly hosts of Bake Off, are coming back to cheer on the celebrity bakers as they compete against each other in the Bake Off tent.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel that this year’s Great Celebrity Bake Off promises to be exceptional, marking the debut of a new judge in the panel, with Prue stepping aside for the first time.

Rather than Paul the celebrity chef appearing alone, he’ll be accompanied by his longtime friend Caroline, who used to jointly own and manage Leiths School of Food & Wine.

Last year, it was made official that Prue would take a short break from participating in the celebrity version of the show.
