On the occasion of what would have been Liam Payne’s 32nd birthday last Friday, Kate Cassidy paid an emotional and poignant tribute, marking ten months since his departure.
On October 16, the member of One Direction sadly passed away at the age of 31, following his fall from a balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In a sweet nod to ‘the most special soul’, Kate heartbreakingly admitted she ‘misses him so much’.
She penned: ‘August 29, 1993 – a remarkable day for an extraordinary spirit. I truly miss you. Happy Birthday to Liam! If only we could celebrate together in this life. Perhaps in the next one ❤️.’
In the video, she penned: ‘Happy birthday, hope you are celebrating in heaven’.
For the past two years, Kate has shared her path through mourning on various social platforms.
It comes after Liam’s ex Cheryl announced her return to the spotlight, following his tragic death.
The vocalist from Girls Aloud, aged 42, is now part of a fresh marketing initiative by skincare brand Nivea. This partnership was unveiled on Instagram on Monday, and there are numerous references to her professional journey scattered throughout the short promotional video.
In an intriguing video, Cheryl, who co-parents eight-year-old Bear with the late celebrity, can be seen confidently walking into a studio. Later, she is seated with her face obscured by a newspaper displaying the lyrics to her 2019 hit song “Fight For This Love,” along with the date ‘August 2025’.
The screen displays a message saying, “A New Era, Tomorrow,” and the social media post accompanying the video reads, “We’re really excited about this! Join us tomorrow at 9am as we embark on a new chapter in skincare… can you guess who’s along for the ride?
The phrase used by Nivea acknowledges one of Cheryl’s popular expressions, which she frequently used during her time as an X Factor judge. She would often say, “You fit perfectly in my style.
The scene starts as she emerges from a vehicle, showcasing her high heels, followed by adjusting the tie of her trench coat and fluffing up her hair.
