Kate Beckinsale Stuns in Black Tulle Gown at Star-Studded Costume Designers Guild Awards

At the 27th Costume Designers Guild Awards held in Los Angeles on Thursday, Kate Beckinsale gracefully exuded elegance and style.

51-year-old actress drew focus when she stepped onto the stage at Wilshire Ebell Theatre, serving as one of the evening’s hosts.

Kate displayed her sophisticated flair for fashion in a stunning black tulle ball gown. The dress boasted an eye-catching, wrap-style bodice that offered a glimpse of her silhouette.

She adorned her striking appearance with a sparkling pair of silver earrings, and gathered her dark hair into a ponytail as she confidently took to the stage.

At the award ceremony, Kate shared the stage with notable figures such as Quinta Brunson, Colman Domingo, Kathryn Hahn, Mindy Kaling, Justine Lupe, and Connie Nielsen.

At the CDGAs, Jackie Tohn served as host, and it was Wicked and Nosferatu that bagged the highest awards among the competing films.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride when Paul Tazewell of Wicked claimed the prestigious sci-fi/fantasy film prize! It was equally thrilling to see Linda Muir, the talented costume designer behind Nosferatu, recognized for her Excellence in Period Film. These accolades are a testament to their exceptional work and a source of endless joy for fans like me!

The filmmaker Lisy Christl from the Conclave won the Contemporary Film award overwhelmingly, recognizing her exceptional work across three films.

In the upcoming 2025 Academy Awards, the three films are once more contenders for the award of Best Costume Design, meaning they will compete against each other.

Additionally, Arianne Phillips from Complete Unknown, as well as Janty Yates and Dave Crossman of Gladiator II, have also been nominated in this category.

After a seemingly mysterious disappearance from Instagram, Kate made an appearance at the CDGAs.

Kate, with a following of approximately 5.6 million on Instagram, is no longer sharing her extravagant lifestyle on social platforms.

Since last month, there have been no new posts appearing on the Underworld star’s social media account, and she changed her profile picture to a black image instead.

TopMob contacted Kate’s representatives for a comment at the time.

Shortly following Kate’s heated response to perceived passive-aggressive critics regarding her weight, an unexpected action was taken.

As a devoted follower, I found myself stirring speculation about Ozempic when I shared a post on Instagram, only to be disheartened by the unkind remarks from trolls regarding my weight shortly afterward. The post, unfortunately, had to be removed swiftly.

In response to one person being unkind, Kate expressed her frustration by saying: “If it isn’t an unwarranted critique, then it’s an unwanted and irrelevant opinion from someone I don’t know, lacking understanding of the details of my situation.

She suggested, “The next time you’re tempted to comment on someone’s physical appearance, perhaps it would be best to keep such thoughts to yourself.

It isn’t the first time that the London-born star has clapped back at trolls on the internet.

In May 2024, she wrote an angry post addressing ‘deceitful cyberbullying’ and discussed how harmful remarks on her social media platforms were affecting her.

In her recent post, she included two videos; one dated twenty years back and another from last week at The King’s Trust Gala in New York City, accompanied by heartfelt sentiments.

Whenever I share something online, people often assume that I’ve had undetectable plastic surgery, use Botox or fillers, or am excessively preoccupied with appearing youthful. In reality, I have never engaged in any of these activities. [She mentioned this previously.]
