As I delve into the heartfelt story of Kate Beckinsale and her beloved feline companion Clive, I am deeply moved by the profound connection they shared. The actress’s unwavering love for her cat is a testament to the unique bond that can exist between humans and their pets.

Kate Beckinsale has paid tribute to her cat Clive one year on from his death.

In a deeply emotional message, the actress, who is now 50 years old, publicly declared that her cherished pet was not only her soulmate but also the love of her life. She admitted openly that even after some time had passed, she continues to miss this special companion dearly.

Last June, the Serendipity star shared news of her feline’s passing through a collection of photos showing her cat Willow and dog Wylf ‘taking up his mantle’. (Informal language: carrying on his legacy)

And more than a year after he passed away, Kate confessed she was dreading Halloween because it was such a special time for her and her muse.

The star displayed her pet, the dog and cat, wearing various extravagant outfits such as a fairy with functioning wings, a cowboy, and even a strawberry. She encouraged her fans to make Clive, a cherished figure among them, proud by participating in this playful spectacle.

She titled her charming post as: “These days, I find myself feeling a tad apprehensive about Halloween, as Clive eagerly took on the role of my muse and resembled a high-fashion model in every costume and whimsical concept he embraced.

I truly believe that Myf and Willow understood this and decided to continue his legacy. They did an incredible job – there were no issues at all, and they even introduced some unique poses, which is quite remarkable. Rest in peace to my soulmate and the love of my life. I hope you’re enjoying a good laugh from cat heaven as the little ones carry on your torch for you. Love you x

In one picture, Kate donned an elegant black dress with a statement pink bow and matching handbag, and held on to Willow who was also dyed a pastel pink.

In another picture, Kate donned a mini dress featuring a corset design and a full, balloon-like skirt, along with tall platform heels, while frolicking with a fluffy Persian cat.

The star also dressed Willow up as Rambo, complete with red bandana and bullet vest, joking that the cat wig was big enough for her.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I once had an amusing moment where I decided to add a playful twist to my self-care routine. One day, I creatively donned my feline friend in a strawberry costume, while I indulged myself in a soothing massage session, all while basking in the comfort of my own natural state.

In a different clip, Kate interacted with her dog Wylf who was disguised as an octopus. This playful scene unfolded on a large-patterned blanket showcasing a prominent image of Clive.

Kate’s Instagram tribute comes after she confessed to sleeping with Clive’s ashes last year.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can’t help but share a touching tale from an actress I admire. Last year, she confided that she deeply misses her beloved feline companion and sleeps with his ashes every night. It serves as a poignant reminder of the bond we share with our pets, even after they’ve left us physically.

In June, when Clive passed away at the age of 19, the actress who played Van Helsing was profoundly devastated, and it seemed she was still grappling with her feelings.

In response to a question about where he was laid to rest on Instagram, she shared: ‘I was cremated, and though some might find it strange, I always keep his small urn beside me in my bed each night.’

Upon his passing, she penned: “My heart is shattered completely and entirely. Each corner of our home seems as if it’s missing him.

The self-professed ‘cat person’ and star of the Underworld horror films, got Clive as a kitten.

She frequently adorned him with holiday attire for both Christmas and Halloween, making them a common sight in matching ensembles.

‘We got him when my daughter [Lily Sheen, now 20] was little,’ she told People in 2019.

‘And he usually is shaved into an odd shape, but he’s a recent cancer survivor.’

When discussing Clive’s character with the media, the mother of one enthusiastically shared that he is particularly fond of items such as suitcases, boxes, and bags.

If you get a pair of sneakers or a bag, he jumps right in, she exclaimed. Therefore, we bought him a suitcase-style bed, and he’s absolutely smitten with it.

Beckinsale also stated that she prefers cats because they’re ‘easier’ to care for than dogs.

She pondered, “There’s no need for you to carry waste the way one does with a dog’s waste, which I find unpleasant.

Clive’s lavish lifestyle was extensively showcased across his social media platforms, filled with amusing costume pictures, jet-setting experiences aboard personal aircraft, and unwavering support through various challenges.
