As a dedicated theater enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of musicals and productions, I must say that the recent London opening of “The Rocky Horror Show” was nothing short of exhilarating. The sight of Kate Beckinsale transforming herself into Columbia, complete with sequined gold suit and matching top hat, transported me straight back to my first viewing of the cult classic film. Her performance was a delightful reminder of the magic that live theater can bring.

At the opening night of The Rocky Horror Show in London on Tuesday, Kate Beckinsale appeared strikingly different from her usual self.

The Hollywood actress, 51, is often pictured looking glamorous for red carpet occasions, but instead decided to channel the themes of the cult musical.

Kate concealed her golden hair beneath a deep-red wig, camouflaged her face using white makeup, added fake wounds on her cheeks, and applied bright red lipstick, thus finishing her appearance.

In her sequined gold outfit, complete with a coordinating top hat, the actress portraying Van Helsing bore an uncanny resemblance to the character Columbia.

As a connoisseur of all things related to lifestyle and entertainment, I must share with you an iconic performance from the 1975 film adaptation of a stage musical: the unforgettable portrayal of a captivating character by the talented Nell Campbell in the number “Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me.” This risqué scene remains etched in the annals of cinema history.

Another snap revealed that Kate teetered to the event on huge heels as she posed next to a friend who had dressed up as the character of The Usherette, who belts out the opening number Science Fiction.

Richard O’Brien’s eerie musical initially emerged as a satire of B-movies, premiering on the West End stage in 1973. Two years after its theatrical debut, it was transformed into a film featuring Tim Curry.

The show features hit songs like Time Warp and Dammit Janet and has stopped in the West End amid a huge UK tour.

Jason Donovan has taken on the part of the character Sweet Transvestite Frank-N-Furter, following previous acting roles in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert. Notably, he was a popular singer during the 80s.

As a devotee of great television, I must confess my undying affection for the iconic series, Neighbours. The program, its melodious soundtrack, and the captivating characters have all won a special place in my heart.

Approximately five years back, I performed my personal production, and the highlight of my musical journey was performing the Sweet Transvestite from Rocky Horror.

‘It went down a storm. Rocky Horror is like panto for adults.’

Many other stars made an appearance at the recent restaging of the theater musical, a version that gained fame with its cinematic adaptation featuring Tim Curry in 1975.

62-year-old broadcasting legend and regular on “This Morning,” Vanessa Feltz, gleamed radiance as she stepped out in a bold, pink business suit.

Actress Maisie Williams, aged 27, showcased a chic ensemble consisting of a cream cardigan and a mini skirt, while sporting stylish thigh-high boots with confidence.

Previously known Coronation Street actor Charlie Condou, aged 51, sported a vibrant, floral shirt, while presenter and musical theatre enthusiast Hayley Palmer, who is 42 years old, dazzled in a mini-dress and Barbie-pink high heels, not long after her separation from The Chase star Mark Labbett.
