Kate Ferdinand looked incredible as she shared photos from a ‘perfect’ family weekend in Doha.
Kate Wright, who used to be on the reality show TOWIE, and her husband Rio, took their kids on a vacation to Qatar’s capital city, sharing photos and videos of their trip on Instagram.
Just before leaving, the couple quickly took a mirror selfie. Kate was wearing a black crop top and pants.
Kate shared a sweet photo of herself cuddling her children, four-year-old Cree and two-year-old Shae, who were both wearing matching pajamas. She captioned the picture, ‘Two very tired babies in their matching PJs on their way home.’
I just had to share the sweetest picture! My little one, Shae, was looking out the hotel window, absolutely glowing in a pink dress. It was such a cute moment, I couldn’t resist posting it!
Kate and Rio were joined by his three children: fourteen-year-old Tia, from his previous marriage to Rebecca Ellison, and his sons Lorenz, nineteen, and Tate, seventeen.
Kate shared a photo she took of Tia, who was wearing a brown dress, as the family enjoyed an evening out.
She shared another photo, this time with a family friend, and wrote that it was “the perfect weekend with you.”
The celebrity shared that this was the first holiday where she and Rio didn’t bring a stroller for their son, Cree, to the airport, opting for a buggy instead. She jokingly admitted it wasn’t a good decision, writing, ‘Safe to say we regretted it!’
Kate recently shared that she’s been finding it difficult adjusting to the move to Dubai, and became emotional while admitting she feels homesick and misses her family.
She admitted that although she’s loved living in Dubai, she’s found it difficult being separated from her two older sons, Lorenz and Tate, who remained in the UK to pursue their football dreams.
In the March issue of Men’s Health UK, Rio Ferdinand explained his recent move, describing it as a new adventure. He shared that his life has always been dictated by schedules – first as a football player, and then as a sports commentator.
Honestly, chances to really shake things up don’t come along very often. To have the time to make a big change, to actually go on an adventure and try something completely new… it’s rare. So when we decided this was it, this was what we really wanted to do, we knew we had to go for it. It felt like a perfect moment.
Kate recently told Women’s Health UK that she understands what she needs to stay mentally healthy, and finds exercise and therapy particularly helpful when she’s feeling down.
She shared that feeling good about her appearance is important to her happiness, but she prioritizes exercise for its positive impact on her mental wellbeing.
I also want to set a good example for my kids by prioritizing my health. Seeing me work out motivates them, and that’s really important to me.
I understand my emotions and know what helps me feel better. I’m open to therapy if I need professional support, and I also rely on simple things like getting fresh air, going for walks, and talking to friends and family when I’m having a tough time.
Reflecting on their recent move last month, she explained that it felt like entering a completely new environment. However, she emphasized her continued affection for London and the United Kingdom, highlighting how much she appreciates everything about it.
‘I do feel happy in Dubai, but I’m just missing a part of me.’
Kate also mentioned that stepping down from his job as a sports commentator for TNT Sports last year has allowed Rio to spend more quality time with his family.
She described it as a wonderful place to live, especially for kids. She said her children are doing really well, are happy, and enjoy having lots of outdoor freedom.
Rio is really happy here, and I’m having a good time too, but I’m also feeling homesick and a little sad. I especially miss my sons and it’s been hard being away from them.
I’m confident this is the best move for my younger kids, and we’re happy with life where we are. My older sons are pursuing their football dreams, which is what they want, and if they weren’t, they’d be here with us.
It’s really difficult, because our family has always been close and relied on each other, so this change is a big challenge.
