Karl Stefanovic has launched a new career path outside Channel Nine.
The Today show presenter, 51, will be hosting his own YouTube podcast.
Karl, a familiar face on the breakfast show for two decades, revealed his departure on Instagram Thursday with a video showing him recording in a studio.
He announced with excitement that he was about to share something remarkable, describing it as a creative force within him that he was finally ready to reveal.
He told fans they shouldn’t worry, because he has complete creative control over the show since it’s his personal project.
I have the freedom to connect with anyone who interests me – whether they’ve achieved incredible things or simply have a compelling story to share, he explained.
Get ready for something completely real and raw! I’m throwing caution to the wind and sharing everything. Are you up for an adventure? The Karl Stefanovic Show is launching soon, and it’s going to be a blast.
He shared his goals for the podcast and announced a very unexpected guest who will be featured in the first episode.
After years on television, I’ve developed a knack for spotting dishonesty and a strong sense for what makes a compelling story, he said.
This show will feature guests from all walks of life – including politics, sports, business, and the arts – people I know you’ll be interested in hearing from. I’m not holding back, and we’re aiming for a lively and enjoyable conversation – no misleading information, just genuine fun.
‘We start this Sunday with a live show at 2pm with Pauline Hanson – live on YouTube.’
Karl has been the co-host of Channel Nine’s breakfast show Today since 2005.
