Karen Hauer celebrates one year anniversary with boyfriend Simon Davidson as she shares bikini-clad photos

On Tuesday, Karen Hauer and her partner Simon Davidson celebrated their first anniversary together by sharing an adorable update.
42-year-old professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing, who made their relationship public with a marketing manager, 34, in January, was spotted sporting a black swimsuit while spending a sunny day with her partner at The Saltwater Sauna.
Their romance came after she split from Jordan Wyn-Jones in October 2023 just 16-months after tying the knot.
Sharing a glimpse of their past year, Karen and Simon posted a heartwarming photo on Instagram, showcasing their affectionate bond.
The duo was spotted during multiple vacations, such as a charming getaway to Italy, and also backstage at the Strictly Come Dancing set.
She captioned the sweet update: ‘One Year Of Us.’
In a recent interview, it appears as though Karen implied criticism towards her three former spouses, stating that it is usually the individual who makes mistakes rather than the marriage itself.
Previously, the dancer born in Venezuela was wedded to Kevin Clifton, a former professional on Strictly, from 2015 until 2018. Currently, Kevin is co-parenting a child with Stacey Dooley.
Before she started dating Kevin, she was wedded to Matthew Hauer for a span of nine years. They parted ways in the year 2009.
Although she’s had three weddings, Karen admits she might consider a fourth and is deeply smitten with her current romance.
She also said she now ‘finally understands’ what is needed from a partner.
Karen shared with The Mirror, “The issue isn’t the marriage itself; it’s the people involved. One thinks they understand someone, only to realize later that they don’t. That’s why I’m proceeding cautiously and truly getting to know my new boyfriend, Simon, before making any further commitments.
Over time, you’ve experienced numerous marriages followed by divorces, leaving little new ground for disagreement since we’ve already tackled those issues. I find myself traveling quite a bit these days. Since he resides in Manchester, the precious moments we do share together, we prefer to enjoy rather than engage in debates over trivial matters.
As an ardent admirer, I’ve finally grasped the essence of what I yearn for in a companion – mutual support and comprehension, not just one-sided.
In January, Karen made their relationship public on Instagram by posting a sweet picture of them both while hiking in the countryside with Simon, her personal trainer.
On January 19th, Karen and Simon publicly acknowledged their growing relationship when he attended an event with her in Birmingham, during the initial live tour show for Strictly that year.
On the scene, it was noticed that Simon, the seasoned sports marketing executive from Adidas, made an appearance at the hotel accommodating the Strictly celebrities.
As I gleefully welcomed Simon into my circle, I proudly presented my cherished friend, Gina Mancini – a renowned massage therapist from the Strictly team – who was beaming alongside me in shared delight.
In the finals of BBC’s show held in December 2023, the professional dancer from Venezuela was initially noticed alongside the ex-athlete.
Following an introduction by fellow actor Gorka Marquez and his companion Gemma Atkinson, it’s been reported that the dancer had a delightful vacation with a romantic twist recently.
In June 2022, Karen got married to her former spouse, Jordan (aged 35), who they described as a “fairy-tale” wedding at that moment.
Later on, Jordan explained that their union started to fall apart around the 16th month following their wedding, with Karen often going to rehearsals and leaving him behind at home.
He told The Mail on Sunday: ‘It’s a bit of a love story, a sad story. I’m incredibly sad not to be in Karen’s life, and not be on this journey with her but we’re not right for each other in terms of her career.
I’ll forever respect her professional achievements, yet they often kept her distant. She was frequently absent while I found myself alone at home.
A major factor leading to their split was the conflict between his desire to have children and Karen’s dedication to her role as the longest-standing professional on the show.
After discussing raising a family, they transitioned from Karen’s residence in Wimbledon, Southwest London, and relocated to the northern part of England, where they found a rural abode, accompanied by their four canines.
However, rather than spending cozy evenings together at home, Jordan explained that their relationship transformed into numerous video and phone conversations because his spouse, a prominent American-Venezuelan ballroom dancer, was constantly traveling across the country.
‘Karen’s dedicated to her career, which she has worked really hard for,’ Jordan said.
She’s truly impressive, and I hold her in high regard for that quality. One of the factors that drew me towards wanting to marry her was her strength and power.
However, our desires were not aligned. Initially, there was a discussion about starting a family, but later, that plan seemed uncertain.
At our initial encounter, we talked about it. You often express desires such as, “I wish to have children.” She shared with me her aspiration of having children together.
‘But in the interview, Karen said “kids aren’t the future” – which did make me sad. I’ve always wanted to be a father.’
He added: ‘I wouldn’t say it was a shock but I knew subconsciously in the back of my head… why would she want to have a child with me?
In our special bond, I found myself drifting, lost in the intricacies of our circumstances. Despite my deep affection and unwavering care for you, I felt an emptiness within me – a void that the predicament we faced had created.
Jordan stated that both parties wept profusely, expressing a great deal of sorrow. They acknowledged their marriage had reached its end despite their reluctance to part ways, as they realized they weren’t compatible with one another.
In retrospect, had we continued our relationship without children, I fear I may have harbored feelings of resentment towards her. Now seems to be the ideal time for us to express our love for one another and part ways amicably.
