Karen Gillan is currently filming the latest Jumanji movie with Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart, set to come out in December. She’s already planning her next film, staying very busy with back-to-back projects.
Okay, so I just heard some awesome news! Apparently, Millie Bobby Brown is going to be in this new thriller called Blasphemous with Josh Hutcherson and Clive Owen! It’s based on a script that was a big hit back in 2023, and it’s really cool because the writer, Luke Piotrowski, is actually directing the movie too – it’s his first time doing that, which is pretty exciting!
The movie centers on a new priest and his experienced mentor who are tasked with transporting a young woman believed to be possessed to a place where she can be exorcised. However, she manages to escape, endangering both men and pushing their beliefs to the limit.

Sources at The Hollywood Reporter say the upcoming film Blasphemous is being compared to a dark blend of The Exorcist and Training Day. Shooting is scheduled to begin in New York this August, though a release date hasn’t been announced.
Scott Strauss of Badlands called the script for Blasphemous one of the best his group has ever seen. He produces the film alongside Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee from Thunder Road, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions, and Gillan and Jess Biddle of Red Riot Pictures.

This film offers a truly original experience, blending witty conversations, memorable characters, and thought-provoking themes. We’re excited to see Clive, Karen, and Josh collaborate with Luke to make his distinctive creative concept a reality.
After the announcement, Gillan expressed her enthusiasm for the new role on Instagram, writing: “Can’t wait to raise some hell for you…”
In addition to the new Jumanji movie, Karen Gillan will also appear in the upcoming reboot of Highlander, with Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe, and Dave Bautista. Filming is currently underway, but a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
The next Jumanji movie is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on December 11, 2026, assuming there are no unexpected issues during filming. Production began in November 2025, and we’ve already gotten a sneak peek at the returning cast.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color 100-page tribute to Taylor Swift, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
